Tank Hit shock
« on: 28-12-2009, 00:12:40 »
Something just popped into my head: Infantry gets a suppression effect, shouldn't tanks as well? If your tank is being hit again and again, even with no penetrations, there should be large "boink!"s, as there are, and the same suppression effect as infantry has. I don't think MG fire should trigger it, but AP rounds should.

Would create more of that sought-after immersion all the kids are talking about ;)
It's half naked people on boats. That's all.
Here in Finland we call that "summer".

A light concussion effect for tank round damage would actually be pretty awesome.

Especially if it gets more effective as you go up in shell size, HE being more effective at it.
Michael Wittmann's gunner, Bobby Woll, was known to be an excellent Marksman.
He could hit targets at range even on the move.

Sounds like a good idea. I haven´t been in a tank that was fired upon, yet, but I can imagine that even a non-penetrating hit has some pretty uncomfortable effects (spalling for example) on the crew.
And so he spoke, and so he spoke, that lord of Castamere,
But now the rains weep o'er his hall, with no one there to hear.
Yes now the rains weep o'er his hall,
and not a soul to hear.
