Not sure where to post this, but has Forgotten Hope always had a TV Tropes page?

Is there any chance we might see Lapland War? With Finnish Pz-4 J tanks and German buete panzers?

That would be an interesting subject but I dont think anyone is working on anything like that. I doubt anyone really has much interest in that war so theres very little chance any of the mappers would do anything like this. Might be something the CMP guys can look into? I dont know.

However, gotta burst your bubble about the Finnish Panzer IV's. They were not used in combat. They were transferred to Lapland but they did not see action at all. Smaller light tanks and T-34's were used instead.

One of the most interesting battles would be battles of Tornionlaakso (Tornio valley) where the germans used old Somua and the smaller H35/H39 tanks in the counterattacks against the Finns.

I see Lapland War very unlikely to happen.

We'll see what kind of an interesting design they'll come up with then..

EDIT: I just fear that it, just like many other of their projects, are a bit too ambitious and their research department is not that great when it comes to little details. Would again focus on fewer maps and polish them to perfection rather than have many half-assed ones. :)

Is this a CMP conspiracy thread now?
Most of our maps were made long ago by various people.  I'm not sure if we have a research department.  If you have any good info on a battle to share please do.  I personally have trouble with my ambitious projects as English information is often not very good.  Anyone got some good stuff on the battle at Hochwald Gap, Operation Blockbuster?

Forgotten Victory: First Canadian Army and the Cruel Winter of 1944-45 by Mark Zeuhlke should cover that. I haven't read it, but I have read the books by this author on the Normandy breakout and the Scheldt operations and they were good. Not sure what kind of information you're looking for though, so it might be either too much or too little.

A quick google search also gave me this:

Also, will we get flamethrower versions of the T34 tanks? They were used at seelow heights.

Ps, it has been a while.....

I believe there was talk about including an OT-34 in Seelow but I dont know if that was just thinking out loud by someone or not.
