I am making this becouse i feel there are many custom maps that i personally dont know of, and would like to know about =) If you have a map, that you would like to be on this list please post info, including 5 screenshots, short description, credits, ai support and download location =) I think when the list is filled, it will be a lot easier for everyone to find what they are looking for =)

Arnhem
Desc:The British 1st Airborne was still in control of the northern approach ramp to the Arnhem bridge. The Germans recognised that they would not be moved by infantry attacks such as those that had been bloodily repulsed on the previous day so instead they heavily shelled the short British perimeter with mortars, artillery and tanks; systematically demolishing each house to enable their infantry to exploit gaps and dislodge the defenders. Although in battle against enormous odds, the British clung to their positions.

Battle for Stonne
Desc:In the night of May 13-14, the French urged various forces south of Sedan to counterattack the German breakthrough, but it was already too late. Very early in the morning on May 15, the "Grossdeutschland" Infantry Regiment supported by tanks of the 10 Panzer Division assaulted the French city of Stonne, to consolidate Guderian's breakthrough at Sedan. They didn't expect to encounter the French 3rd Armored Division and 3rd Motorized Infantry Division arrived late on May 14, too late to counterattack. The battle of Stonne has been called by the Germans the "Verdun of 1940" and was one of the first major tanks battle of World War Two. The town itself switched side 17 times in 3 days.

Carentan
Desc:To complete the capture of Carentan, Gen. Courtney Hodges of First Army created a task force under Gen. Anthony McAuliffe to coordinate the final assault. The mission to take Hill 30 was reassigned to the 506th PIR, the attack along the Bassin ¨¤ Flot was renewed, and the 501st PIR was relieved of its defensive positions to circle behind the 327th GIR and approach Hill 30 from the east. The movements were covered by an all-night artillery bombardment of Carentan using naval gunfire, Corps artillery, 4.2-inch mortars, and tank destroyers that had joined the 327th GIR along the eastern canal.

FH2 Gold Beach
Desc:Gold Beach lay in the invasion area assigned to the 50th (Northumbrian) Infantry Division commanded by Major General Douglas Alexander Graham, and the British 8th Armoured Brigade of the British 2nd Army, under Lieutenant General Miles Dempsey. Gold Beach had three main assault sectors¨Cthese were designated: Item, Jig (split into sections Green and Red), and King. A fourth named How was not used as a landing area.The beach was assaulted by the 50th(Northumbrian) Division between Le Hamel and Ver sur Mer. Attached to them would be elements of 79th (Armoured) Division. La Varde
Desc:The fort of la Varde, built on XVIIIe century fortifications, protect the East sector of the Saint-Malo Festung, and allow the adjustement of several heavy artilleries. The construction started in 1942 and will lead to around twenty concrete fortifications in August 1944.
Fights ended on August 13rd for the hundred German defenders, allowing Thunderbolt to attack intra-muros and the City of Saint-Malo.

Desc: June 23rd, 1944. The battle for Normandy is raging at its highest point. In the way of the Allied victory lays Maupertus, a small village a few kilometers inland from Cherbourg. Monte Cassino
Desc: When tasked with taking Monte Cassino, the 1st/4th Essex laughed it off as a joke. It soon became clear that the officers were serious, and joked the germans would never expect anyone to be stupid enough to risk the frontal assault. The 1st Fallshirmjager weren't laughing when the two sides met.

Saaremaa
Desc: Saaremaa, Estonia. October 1944. After breaking the siege of Leningrad the Red Army begins the drive westwards. Advancing parallel to the main force in the Mainland, a Soviet force equipped with Lend-Lease amphibious craft land at Muhu and Hiiumaa. The Germans begin a fighting retreat, exchanging land for time. This is hastened by another landing near Leisi. The orders for the Red Army are simple: destroy all German forces on the islands. The Germans give a desperate fight, but finally retreat to Kurland in November. Only 25% of the defenders get out alive.

Hmm... Someone with good knowlage of FH2 vechicles, so they are replaced by more or less equal quality vechicles... I am not that one :D Anyone up for it? ;) Maybe you could try yourself? =) Shouldint be hard to do this, think its pretty much to unpack all zips then edit init.con and GameModes\gpm_cq\#\GamePlayObjects.con then pack it with pack-map.py again =)

Now that 2.46 is here, is there any chance anyone can update these maps to be compatible with the new version?
I suppose most of the maps will work with new version (I tried several of them and they worked fine). I don't have time to check them all, so, if you encounter issues - just report them here and I will try to update maps on my Google Drive.

2.45 custom maps do indeed work in 2.46. For WaW tournament maps, I just had to clear out the rally point references in the tmp.con

Yes, I get some PY WARN message in game that seems to be related to NCORifleData. It doesn't affect gameplay. Does anybody know the solution? (be detailed as I am ignorant)

As I realized, this warning has another root cause in the mapdata.py. Some other plugins must freak out, look into the fh2_error files, there will some py issue be mentioned.

which is almost identical.
I've noticed that maps prepared for the FH2T joint campaign, which was shortly after the 2.45 release don't have this problem but that maps prepped more recently do.
It's kinda over my head so eventually I will get someone to fix it. I know that servers can just turn off bug reporting anyway. I'm just curious about it.

My guess is that the map is not properly packed with the mods\fh2\pack-map.py script.

The map runs fine and the kits don't look messed up. I haven't been able to test if anyone can use the NCO kit or not.
This map worked fine until 2.46 so I think it was packed right. really the PY WARN message is just annoying. I haven't noticed any real problem.

There's a typo in the tutorial - it's called "NCOrifleData", not "NCORifleData" (note the small "r"). Fix this in the first line, and it will work.
And this "annoying" PY WARN means that you won't be able to select the secondary NCO kits, so you have a real problem.

changing the "R" to "r" basically worked. I still got some error about kit not defined so I changed the custom kits to standard kits that I knew worked. Finally no PY WARN.

just wondering why are the ported ships never used in official fh2? :P i guess the quality was not good enough? or no good skin/model? or maps to use it? :P
or is it impossible to let the bots drive it (because the bf2 engine never had drivable battleships)

Naval warfare comes with many problems, the most infamous one is that you can't walk on deck, because you will die. So you can only have fixed positions for players on the ships.

Nothing is impossible, but
1) there needs to be a fix for it first, and
2) nothing in that direction is planned afaik

There may be plenty of Naval warfare again in "unofficial" FH2. You just have to open your mind to it.

As the first post of this topic is over 5 years old, I bet the chance that someone still has them for download is slim.

How do i play the argentan 1944 map. İ moved the map folder into the fh2 maps folder but i dont see it on the map list ingame
