Is there a pickup ammo kit for the allies anywhere in Ramelle Neuville?
I would like to be able to reload the mortar if I could. I was playing the other day. I was getting could spots from my teammates. We had been pushed across the river, but I was making it very dangerous for the Germans to cross the bridge. (and held fire for a couple of counter attacks.) However once I ran out of ammo that was that. I could not reload.
Like everyone, I am familiar with the 'history' of this battle, so maybe the allies are supposed to have limited ammo. However there are static ammo boxes in the city, so if someone has found an ammo pickup kit I would love to know where.
-
Map designer said it would be whoring for the allies
Ye because one mortar is so much whoring then 2 tigers and 2 marders
pfff
-
+ Scripted airplanes and 3 Allied Tanks (and one can kill a Tank with a frontal hit (with the right Ammo)

One sherman spawns when the grand majority of the flags have been captured. Then the others spawn when all but 1 flag is captured
This map is one gaint german killwhore fest. Fact. I played it alot, rarely saw the allies win. DOnt come with "One match i saw" this and that.
-
yeah i8ts hard for the allies to win but its possible
it would be better if there where really only two Tiger and not more spawing
because then they would be more carefull with these Tanks

marders where in the movie, Marders should be in the game
Its possible, but the germans still win the grand majority of the map. I simply ignore when it is played
-
yes marders are ok but i only mean the Tigers ;)
-
I already cheered when I found the ammo box near Alamo.
-
what happens if you destroy the mortar and repair it, do you get new ammo then?

No

We are talking about ammo kit
Or did you found one? :)
-
No
/fail

From Feedback:
you can give the mortar 15 or 20 rounds. You place an ammo kit at US reinforcements. When the ammo is depleted, it takes a very long time to get new ammo
Here, a decent suggestion. +1 Important is that the nearest ammobox is far away, so the ammokit cannot be replenished with more ammo for a while.
-
I just had a thought:
The allies famously, (or perhaps infamously for the historical purists) had plenty of extra mortar ammo in that battle! So there should be an ammo kit for the mortar! :P
-
What about the halftrack? Does that replenish stationary weapon ammo?
-
No only to infantry
-
but in the introtext is written "sir we are cutt off from the rest of our unit- we dont know when we will get reeinforcments bla bla bla"
Due to the fact that the got 3 tanks all in all = they got reinforcements - they should get a ammo kit when allamo flag is falling.

In my opinion this map needs a totaly new weapon layout.

what do you propose ?
-
A layout that is similar with Brest.
Only one Tiger for Germans.
Ammo box for allied when allamo flag is lost (mortar)
Spawming a normal sherman + 76sherman only but together after Alamo is lost.
Unlimited engeeniers kit for both parties.
At least for the bridge Flag: allied should spawm on the left side of river.
Overwork on the push mod: "Ruins + Fontain " / "Right flank + Church street" / "Bridge + Alamo " and so on
-
I like that, but a marder should also be in.
-
yeah sure - forgett about that
-
I think I remember that if one of the two Tigers gets destroyed, it's one Tiger from then on. The Marder is made of paper and carries few HE rounds, so why remove it. There are also plenty of bazooka kits around. If the Allies hold on to he right flank and the tower, the Germans often do not even reach the bridge.
-
But they can easily killwhore from that point witout fear of retaliation
-
Just west of the main bridge is a 1 story building with different weapons kits... I guess they change depending on who has owned some of the flags, as once there was an heavy american mg, then it turned into a Molotov cocktail kick (which was cool, but I still need to figure out how effective it is - other than freaking out a tank when you throw it on their front hood). I like this map for the similar kits hidden all over the place
-
Only one Tiger for Germans.
no - ive killed two tigers i a row (with the heavy sherman (with the right Ammo)
At least for the bridge Flag: allied should spawm on the left side of river.
the whole spawn points on Ramelle seems to wrong placed for me
if i wanna spawn on Alamo - i will come to Historical center
if i wanna spawn at Bridge - i will come to alamo
...

Good but germans should retain the 2 tigers, remember that they were 2 Tigers in SPR, so they are that way for that reason.

but 2 tigers is to much dude.

Yeah but the allies dont get sticky bombs like they did in SPR so they should get something else to compensate , mabye a mobile 57 mil spawning at historic centre if bridge is lost. But still 2 tigers.

Yer, but they get spawnable zooks, which those in SPR didn't get either, they had pickup kits... more or less

How about sticky bombs like we already have in game? If they were suitable for the African maps, why are they so conspicuously absent from Ramelle?
-
Guys, it was alot more easier to drive a Tiger in the old Ramelle, i could reach the Bridge real quick almost without help of the Ger Inf and Camp there, then kill every american that spawns and continue.
Since then, i played this new Version only once, and i had a bit of trouble trying to get there, its not so easy to get there without a problem, theres Infantry to kill, Obstacles to evade and other stuff.
Remember the Tiger is Slow, Big and has a turret that turns 1mm per hour, its not so hard to kill just be smart. The Marder? Cmon dont complain about it, even .50s can kill it, plus it has a open top with a german dude sitting there waiting to get shot...
-
Lately the allies start to win this map repeatedly. Let's wait with any alterations to check out what will happen in the near future.
-
Add a Marder 2, that thing existed in the movie. We should have thrown the petrol bombs into that vehicle.
The Tiger is currently useless and prone to any traps. Just make them walk into ambush, clear out the infantries and gang up the Tiger! It might successfully launch one HE rounds to kill the entire side of attacking party, but the other side will eventually manage to "hug" it and kill it.
-
i have seen far diffrent stories then that zoomotor
And it does has a marder 2 ingame :/
infact even 2
2 tigers + 2 marders is just to much of the good. They gaintly killwhore and ruin the fun of this map.
One tiger tank would be much more fun. It would be like something special, you know? One thing you must try to protect at all cost.
-
I mean Marder 2 (Marder II), not 2 Panzerjaegers.
The one in the Ramelle map is Marder I. In the movie there are 2 Tiger, 3 Marders (2 x Marder I + 1 x Marder II). Should have increase the number of spawnable AT kits and Engineer to balance this. Or make every soldier at least carry 1 sticky bombs by default. So we will have the real Ramelle.

You should just tell Spielberg about this...

If ramelle had 2 tigers, then goodwood should have 760 allied tanks and 107 german ones
Yes it is just like that
-
And a division on both sides lol. try putting that on a server. and a rly huge bigass map. There are 2 tigers on ramelle. They rape cuz they are OP and the game is biased. deal with it.

Jeez man,
Ramelle is relatively small battles, in the movie only Spielberg and his platoon defended the entire village. Now you got literary multiple platoons fighting equal wars against the Germans.
OOT: Goodwood is a representative map, with beefed up Shermans and nerfed Panthers (as the rest of FH2 is). I suggest we put Churchills there
-
Why yes, because churchills where used at goodwood by the 2nd Fife and Forfar Yeomanry. They where those 12 tanks that where ambushed by those flak 18's at cagny
And yes things are mostly equal on FH2.
Some maps it is well needed. Other maps doesnt.

We need pickup kits with throwable mortar shells!
:D
