Will try to arrange a Diablo 2 LAN with as many friends as possible before that. Never played with more than 2 other friends before, 8 people would be so much fun.

Yes, after 12 years... Can anything be worth the wait after so long? I hope so.
Just now realised I have still never played Diablo II all the way to the end. Tried like 4 times, each with different class. Still have my main character saved away on some backup disc somewhere, oh boy... :)

Finished the first, but not the second. Got close to the end, but forgot to backup my savegame during a Windows reinstall... :P
Diablo was also one of the great Playstation games due to the randomly generated dungeons and missions. In fact, it's the only PS game I still own.

You're fooling yourself here; you can't possibly have multiple characters at 99 with only 100 hours of play. Even with just one character it would be an hour per level. ;)

Or the "probably" in combination with the round lot 100 means that he just made a rough guess and wanted to tell us that he played it a lot. :P
I'm really looking forward to it, I guess I'll be preordering it soon. :)

Back in patch .7, you could get to 99 with hell cows in about 2 weeks, I probably put in way more than 100 hours. I was pretty Godly :P. Been there through multiple currency changes

I always played with 8 players set .. just type in /players 8 in the chat and suddenly all mobs become 8 times stronger and give 8 times more xp. You could get to lvl 30 at the beginning of act 3, lvl 50 at act 5 and be around lvl 70 when you finish Nightmare. Playing on hell for a few more days and you got your lvl 99 char. You only need to do some Mephisto and Baal runs for good drops and you are good to go :)

Was that on open battlenet or closed Corvax?

If you type in /players 8 the game will handle mobs, xp and drops like you would play a multiplayer game with 8 players :)
