Animation Preview
« on: 16-01-2012, 00:01:14 »
Developer chad509 has been hard at work in the animation department, by not only creating new animation sets, but updating older ones as well. Here's a short montage of what you can expect to see in the next patch.

Damn the "new" Tommy gun looks good! Insta new favorite! Awesome sights.
P08 also looks really good, maybe I'll finally kill someone with it. New animations are also beast, changing the firing mode looks a lot better. I like details like that, they really make a difference.

Shouldn't the handle on top of the Tommy gun be pulled back after attaching a new magazine to load a round into the chamber before you can fire? On the Sturmgewehr and M1 Carbine the handle is pulled back after loading a new magazine.

Very fluid and natural animations though. Very nice.

Its pulled before you attach a new magazine, its fires from an open bolt.

very nice indeed. I wonder if the 3p animations for Bazooka were reworked as well.

The Thompson fire from open bolt, meaning that when the weapon is operational and ready to fire, the moving parts are in back position. Then the trigger is pulled, the bolt moves forward catches the first cartridge from the magazine.

After the last shot the bolt cycles from back to front (unless you manage to release the trigger on time) and it stays there. The you just pull it back and attach a new magazine just like in the video.

At 45seconds, the way he pull the the locking mecanism with his hole hand looks a bit wierd to me. Maybe it's because I never fired a weapon of my life, but I don't think that if I had to that IRL I don't think I will my hole hand to pull such a small piece.

I think its just easiest way to do it, without having to twist your hand/gun. Pulling it just with fingers might be uncomfortable.

What kind of Op.Cobra version is this? Looks weird.

Nope, however the bazooka M9 was positioned rearwards so its not sticking out as much.

Technically, he is pulling it back with the side of his palm, which is indeed what you do.
