FH 2.5 First Impressions
« on: 08-02-2016, 20:02:22 »
I'm cooped up at university sans my gaming rig, so it will be some time before I try out the Eastern Front.  (I wouldn't get any work done.)  So, oblige me: what are your first impressions of FH 2.5?

My first impression.  Whoever thought that forcing me to download this through the launcher was a good idea... needs castrated. I love the .6kbps it frequently drops to.

No standalone, so there will not be an influx of new players.

Just same ole team stackers & ass clowns killing one another.

If you dont have BF2, then be prepared to go on a scavenger hunt.

Salute to FH2 team for this release ............a LONG TIME IN THE MAKING.

The new maps are very cool!!

If it was just because I forgot to force antialiasing before launching FH2, I will do that on purpose the next time ;D

Was the "iron sight mode" for sniper rifles scrapped or is it still on the list or what's going on? It was suggested years ago and reportedly worked on but since then it hasn't really been mentioned. ???

Of course I appreciate what you guys are doing and all of your hard work put into the mod, the new update is cool, the new maps are a job well done (Arad and Pegasus look/feel the best), it's all great. This was just something that flashed thru my mind whilst sniping on Pegasus and getting into a couple CQ encounters. :)

I recall someone on the server saying yesterday that Steam overlay might cause some issues. Try disabling it.

Sorry to be the dream crusher, but this is not really on the radar. Main reason is the lack of manpower. People who can do animations, especialy for such an old game, are hard to find and everything needs to be implemented properly. With this in mind there are other priorities and just looking back the last few days and what was scrapped for this release, devs like Gavrant or Stubbfan are pretty damn busy with other stuff allready.
