When I get to somebodys six it takes 1-2s long burst to blow him off skyes=FACEPALM! Short view distance is huge random factor for dogfight. Super powerful aircraft guns sky rises amount of random on the level of air casino :'( I really dont understand why we come to this.

Due the engine limitations it is not possible separately code longer view distance for airplanes what would be really good thing in all aspects. Reducing air to air damage let skill flourish. It gives a player change to survive situations where opponent gets behind by luck. 

What do you think about? I would drop air to air damage straight away by 50%

Btw I agree with your suggestion, maybe not 50% but it needs to be toned (?) down a bit.

I have always found this aswel, especialy Rifle caliber rounds do far and far to much damage....

and planes cal 50 does no damage to inf if you do not hit them directly.

It should really depend on what guns you have. Small 8mm rounds should barely do any damage, while 20mm cannons should rip through an enemy's wing in a second.

But in general yes, dogfights are very short in FH2 compared to actual dogfights.

i think that the planes should have better armor V ground AA.. a thunderbolt and P51 had good armor.. expecially the 47.

Durr? The Jug could indeed take a beating and bring more bullets home than it had left the base with, but the Mustang could and often would be downed by a single bullet hit (even small arms fire would do) to the cooling system. This was easiest to hit from the front, unfortunately that was where the fire was coming from in ground attack missions. This was a common vulnerability on most inline-engined fighters though, not just Mustang.

The ME109, spitfire and P 51 where fragile yes. The P51 faired better, but was still pretty vurnable

maps with planes should have higher view distances than normal tank/inf map, that way we can actually see the enemy way before we can engage and maneuver acording .
