2) This is a personal pet peeve of mine, but since in reality it is possible to clear a partially expended M1 Garand clip, how difficult would it be to add this feature?
Impossible. Weapons in Battlefield 2 and its mods can only have one reload animation. The developers opted to use the Garand's signature "ping" when empty as the one reload animation. I understand where you're coming from since some games have the option of two or more reload animations but choose to portray the Garand as unable to reload without expending all the ammunition. Call of Duty 2 was like this, but Call of Duty: World at War featured both reload animations as you mentioned.

The in-game length does look a bit off, but a detail like that is just water under the bridge. I'll see myself out.

Make sure you have the 3D map on. It's toggled with the alt key by default if I remember correctly. Distance should be right under the marker if you look toward it without the map pulled up.

That helped immensely, Sgt-ToTheHoly. Thanks! Hope this brings a few more into the Forgotten Hope flock. ;D

I actually had a question regarding battlelog.co and was hoping someone could give me an answer.

Like most of y'all, I bought Battlefield 2 way back when. I have a physical copy with a CD key. Fast-forward to a couple weeks back when I'm reinstalling BF2 using battlelog.co so I can get back into Forgotten Hope 2 in time for release. I wasn't able to join a server online until I entered my CD key, so is battlelog.co really "free"? Is there a workaround that I'm not seeing? I was able to enter my CD key and get online fine, but I have friends whose copies of BF2 are lost or in another home.

tl;dr Do you need to locate your copy of BF2 and enter its CD key to get online after downloading BF2 from battlelog.co?

Thanks for any help you can give! All I want is to get a friend or two into this, but they can't be bothered to ask around and relocate their copy.

If you happened to snipe them while they were at a location you recognize on the map, place a marker on their location as a squad leader and it'll tell you the distance. Obviously this won't work as well if they were in the middle of a field somewhere.

Here's another Forgotten Hope 2-related skin I made.

When the War Thunder devs made skinning possible, one of my first projects was making a better Spitfire Mk. Vb trop camouflage. I thought I'd go ahead and share here since it's based on Forgotten Hope 2's in-game model.

Nice update! It's great to see a home-grown PO8 model.

Bandages... I'm not sure doing a L4D 3p view healing is possible in the engine. Is 3p view as infantry even possible?
I think what he meant is that the player who bandages a friend follows a new, third-person animation rather than watching himself do so like in Left 4 Dead.

This might be my favorite of the new maps, but the artillery is, as Dago Red mentioned, quite overpowered due to the lack of cover.

I've nothing to say except that the 3D map icons added in 2.4 for AP mines are extremely helpful, thanks. Perhaps another 3D icon could be added for, not AT mines, but their flags?

I actually like the bandage idea--I just recently died because an ally mistakenly took mine while we were ducking in a foxhole. Otherwise, engine limitations prevent your other suggestions. Sorry.

I want to see a really pretty SVT-40 and Mosin-Nagant.

I'm not fully opposed. People mention that walking backwards is pretty easy... maybe on a track. In sand, on grass with rocks and tree roots, on an uneven stone path, it gets more difficult. Tripping is not fun.
