Review the latest movie you have seen
« on: 29-03-2009, 18:03:04 »

For me it was

Gran Torino
- I loved it. A perfect end to Clint's career as an actor. Loved the scene were Clint and the barber talked about how a real man talks.

"Bitch about your car and your wife"

8 out of 10

Batman Begins
- For me, this one is far better then The Dark Knight IMO

8 out of 10

Grand torino for me also!

I liked it, A old grumpy man who is done with life. Only downside imo was the bad acting of the vietnamees boy and girl he is helping.

Tonight going to watch Role models. wondering how that movie is.

Role Models:
7.5/10
Quite funny if you watch it for the first time, but after I saw it 3 times in a short period it became a bit boring. Not all jokes good, but it´s still funny. I still prefer "Super Bad".
Gran Torino:
9/10
One of my favourites.
And so he spoke, and so he spoke, that lord of Castamere,
But now the rains weep o'er his hall, with no one there to hear.
Yes now the rains weep o'er his hall,
and not a soul to hear.

I thought Role Models was quite "tacky"

I love Paul Rudd but this one got a really thin story

But some good moments here and there, and the crazy lady from 40 Year Old Virgin is this movie (the boss of the store in 40YOV)

She's crazy

Short question. Is this on movies running in the cinemas atm only, or may we also say something on movies we randomly saw on tv?

I don't see why not, I myself hardly ever go to the cimena (once a year or less?) and more commonly watch movies on DVD or on TV.

Hmmm...

Well the Last Movie I saw was Rambo V (I believe thats the one, well, if not, its the newest one that just came out a year or so ago).

I was very impressed by the realism of the movie. Especially considering the previous movies lacked any sense of realism. Aside from that, the movie was about true events, such as, persecution of Christians and other religious parties that travel around the world into hostile areas to witness and spread their beliefs. So, it really had a very good story to it.

Something else they did, is go full out with graphic presentations. They showed in the movie, real videos of be-headings, hangings, etc. And later on in the movie, there are some pretty startling parts as far as graphic-ness goes. But, I think this was , in a way, good, as it helped portray the true story, and bring out what the movie was about.

All in all its the first movie I've watched for awhile that I actually enjoyed.

--------
On a side note...

I've yet to see Gran Torino, I'm waiting for the DVD release. Last time I was in a movie theater... well, lets just say I don't want to go back...  ;D

Does Dr. Horrible's Sing Along Blog count as a movie? It is by far the best piece of cinematography that I've seen in 2009 (if it was longer I'd say 2008 too), but its only 40 minutes and never made it too TV or the theaters.
Twilight - the movie is just like Schindler's list... You know you're watching a crime against humanity, but it's sort of entertaining.~~Ts4EVER
