Being logged out doesn't matter.  It always works here at work with Comcast Business.

At home with Comcast residential service it doesn't work.  But it used to.  This just started happening in October, as far as I remember.  I used to be able to access warumdarum.de at home.

I am not sure about private vs. public forums either.  I just try to visit this forum, or the main page.....no difference.

You know what the problem is, http://www.game-monitor.com/search.php?vars=gamevariant=fh2&game=bf2&num=100 does not monitor 762's #1 server!  It only shows #2.  Well I'll be damned.....

But using the warumdarum server monitor won't help me at all since I can't access the warumdarum servers when I'm at home!  There's another thread about that though...

I'm still using a system I build nearly 8 years ago.  Maybe when I upgrade........

But for now I don't really need to, it works fine for what I use it for.  I hardly ever game anymore :(

What server?  I'm looking at the server monitor but it shows nothing.

Because we want to play Forgotten Hope now and not a decade in the future

I understand you....

play FH with just one public server and a non-filled server

http://www.game-monitor.com/search.php?vars=gamevariant=fh2&game=bf2&num=100

I remember the good old days from FH 0.7. WOLF, PFC, WAW, F|H...all full servers

Yes, I remember those days.  It certainly does not seem to be the case with FH2.  I check and check and check and it's empty, except for maybe Saturday and Sunday mornings and afternoons (on ONE server only.)  Beyond that it's a ghost town.

Most of my brightness problems resulted from using a 16+ year old CRT monitor.  Swapped to a newer CRT that I had lying around and brightness isn't a problem, even when the monitor is only set to 1/2 brightness.

The old CRT must be worn out!

Is this ever going to be fixed?  Still unable to access warumdarum servers with Comcast, which therefore means that I am unable to access the Forgotten Hope website or forums.  Can somebody notify warumdarum about this problem?

24
Ok.  Perhaps the hosting server can look into it.

This started happening a few weeks ago.  I thought that the Forgotten Hope website was down.  It appears that I am unable to access warumdarum.de servers while using Comcast home internet, but I have no problem accessing the warumdarum.de servers while using Comcast Business at work.

Has anyone else in the USA experienced this issue?  Maybe a lot of people don't even know because they haven't tried anywhere else than at home...

General Discussion / Adjust brightness through console?

Is there a console command available where I can adjust the brightness of BF2/FH2?  There is no option to adjust this in the in-game settings menu, nor the settings in the FH2 launcher.  Thank you.

I love the mod, but when I check the servers and there are less than 5 people playing on only one server, I don't even bother connecting.

It was really exciting in the April - May - June months when you would regularly see servers with 25+ players.

To be honest, when I have checked the servers lately (usually between 6pm and 7pm Central Time) and there are less than 10 people playing, I don't even bother.  I know this is the wrong thing to do, because if everyone did what I did, then nobody would be playing and the numbers would not increase.

But, whenever I have joined a server with less than 10, not much later, the numbers are dropping, and before you know it, you have a 2 vs 3 match going.  Too few, too boring.

Now I'm not a player who wants 100 players.  I prefer 40-70 players total on a server as the "sweet spot."  With somewhere between 25 and 40 players per team.

That won't do it.  Still not bright enough.  It just isn't realistic because you don't have the implementation of rods and cones in game.

Or perhaps if they made more of a dusk map rather than a night map, where it was still partially light.  That might help.

But as is it is just about unplayable.  I have somehow gotten a few kills, mostly with S-mines.

Suggestions / Re: deckungszielgerät for spw mg

Even so, MGs should still be able to be fired "blind" even if you are in the ducking/cover position.

Not being able to fire an MG because you have ducked down doesn't make much sense.
