It was a real good Scrim. The rounds were close and there were loads of fun and epic flag fights!

When the 101st Airborne entered the town of Carentan on June 12, 1944 after heavy fighting on the two previous days, they met relatively light resistance. The bulk of the surviving German defenders had withdrawn to the southwest the previous night after a heavy Allied naval and artillery bombardment. Both sides realised the importance of the city: for the Americans, it was a link between Utah Beach and Omaha Beach, and would provide a base for further attacks deeper into German-occupied France. For the Germans, recapturing Carentan would be the first step towards driving a wedge between the two U.S. landing beaches, and possibly destroying or severely disrupting the Allied invasion. Best:
Good, balanced and NEW map! Good job Kummitus (and who ever might have helped you)!!!
Funniest:
I was hiding behind a willys jeep at 2nd line, a sherman was going crazy on the flag zone and shot an HE shell at the jeep. The jeep goes "boom" ofcourse but I just kinda fly slightly away without a scratch.
Funniest2:
"D-D-D-D-D-DUTCH KILL"
Best: 94 players.
Best: Burning 8 guys in 30 seconds. Wiped out Quicksilver's company. Laughing
Best: Killing Russians in APC, again.
Best: Intense fighting.
Funniest: Killing Hans on Noville. He was travelling with his Panzer 4 for 5 minutes, Viktor and I started annoying him. Finally took out his repairmen and while he was burning, I sent my last AT Grenade to his butt. Twisted Evil
Funniest: Killing 2 Axis with Willy jeep at the same time. Laughing
MHP: After a long time I write this down because 2 ppl really annoyed me. One is uber-haxor ikhoppa with his aim and the other one is topdogger who managed to kill me 6 times in a row. Evil or Very Mad

Best2: The level of teamwork in the 10th is getting better
Worst: TKs, Confused long wait time at back flags, but that's part of the game
Funniest: Having a nice little "duel" with a halftrack MG for a while, I think it was Bullitt
Funniest2: For some reason stumbling across the nice little weapons cache under the bridge

1)Coming 1st one round and not knowing how because I defended a flag and didn't drive a tank.
2)My squad doing so well as infantry! Got best squad at least twice.

Worst: Allied saboteurs in our grenade factory. Threw numerous grenades in the factory area and most didin´t explode.... Damn traitors should be shot! Evil or Very Mad

Funniest 2: Randooms total explotion cause we kinda got lost in taunts and the exitement of Ensign showing up.

To me one of the most atmospheric and best looking custom maps I played. We will see how it plays in the actual battle tomorrow, but I think we'll have great fun ;)

Gameplay is nothing there can't be worked on. I don't want to start a discussion about that stuff here, but it was not that bad. Some adjustments and the map is fine.

As the map is now, there is just too much stuff that needs to be worked on or that isn't working the right way. Many many many floating objects, some of them can be abused for clitching (railways are the worst of them). You have to jump into buildings as they are just snapped to the ground, missing links between the flags, wich don't have a logical order or progression. and the performance doesn't seem to be good either.
As I said. The maps looks cool and immersive, but it is the hard truth that you can't play it as it stands now. I prefere to state the things as they are. Sorry for that. I might make a post in the FlH though with more detailed information if I find some time.

-I also think the Germans should have had 100-150 more tickets.
The draw distance of this map is extremely close, so seeing the advancing Germans is so easy, but seeing the Americans while they are in prone position or in a foxhole is damn hard. The fog and the film grain makes them blend in so well. We [The Germans] were easy targets while advancing.
-We could get close and into the cap zones by using the scout class, but that damn ZF 41 scope is extremely ineffective and a pain in the ass to operate in close quarters. I would have preferred a regular k98 instead.
-The StuKa is also rendered useless because of the draw distance. I tried flying it in single player, but could not bomb effectively.
This is by all means not a bad map, the map is awesome! But some tuning would have been good. Yes, I want German bias!

To clarify: We play a 5 flag layout with the original flags Marvie, Wardin and Magaret. New flags are "trainstation" in the map center and "bunkers" in the North West forest. Both teams have uncapturable mainbases.There is a second main base for Allies in the South-West for the artillery and the planes. Axis start defending the 5 flags, Allies attack.

"The town of St. Vith, a vital road junction, was close to the boundary between the 5th and Sepp Dietrich’s Sixth Panzer Army, the two strongest units of the attack. As the encirclement trap snapped shut on the Schnee Eifel on 17 December, rapid change was occurring at the headquarters of the 106th Division in St. Vith. By midnight Brigadier General Bruce Cooper Clarke had managed to set up the beginnings of what was called the “horseshoe defense” of St. Vith, a line of units to the north, east and south of town. When the final attack on St. Vith was launched, the town had become more of a liability than an asset. The Allied retreated out of St. Vith to the west, and German forces poured into the town, happily looting the remaining American supplies and equipment. But soon the US started an attack to re-conquer St. Vith. "

"TThe entire Battle of the Bulge was a massive encounter between German and Allied forces. Dietrich’s Sixth Army was tasked to clear Rollbahn C through the town of Bullingen to Bütgenbach. The Sixth was made up of elite SS armored divisions, its attack began at 0530. It was not an easy battle. The 26th Infantry’s command post was overrun three times by German tanks. The men in the command post scraped together all the weapons, ammunition, and courage they could in order to push back the Germans. A weeklong battle developed in the area with the town changing ownership several times..... "

VERY nice looking map aserafimov 8) these towns really have a great feel. Muddy road tracks through the snow and a great skybox. Kudos to the FH Devs who made all the environmental props and all the Forgotten Honor mappers for putting them to good use.

Glad you like it. If I am honest I liked more my original ground textures but those are OK.
Game play also was changed to be able to fit to their tournament settings.
I hope all guys that participated in this battle had a fun.
