Hows it going.

I have one of the older versions of forgotten hope 2(pre France when it was all about the desert) and I am having trouble installing it. I dled the 2 part bit torrent version and I extracted the rar files. I get an error saying the crc failed in encrypted file .... wrong password. I have tried it without password and with the one on the site  (8xx8>\<enjoy>/<8xx8). Besides that it seems to extract them alright. However when I click on either extracted file instead of it running I just get a black box that appears for a few seconds and dissappears.

That password is for the latest version (2.26).

Passwords for previous versions are:

FH 2.26: 8xx8>\<enjoy>/<8xx8
FH 2.25: <->patch.TO-2.25<->
FH 2.2: h.-A.-u.-N.-e.-b.-U.-3
FH 2.15: >>important-=-read-=-the-ReAdMe<<
FH 2.1: -=FH-TS-Server:80.190.243.217:20019=-
FH 2.0: #=->FH2-TorrentPass<-=#

Meant to say that I was downloading the latest version to bring the game up to date.
Its the full install of the most recent version.

Hi folks!
I'm trying to give a mate the FH2 install files. I only have up to 2.25 as I have 2.26 installed from all the Beta testing patches. Ooops (just found 2.25-2.26 incremental)  ;D

Ok I have this file    fh2patch2_25(2)

Right, ^^^^^^ as there's a (2) behind the 2_25 patch I take it there is a fh2patch2_25(1) ?

If there is I can't bloody find it on my PC and I doubt that I would have deleted it  >:(

So is fh2patch2_25(2) a standalone patch?    ( It's 840 MB )

Am I right in thinking all I would need to be up  to date is

fh2patch2_25(2)  &  Forgotten_Hope_2_Patch_2.25_to_2.26   ???

Help!  :)

Forgotten_Hope_2_Patch_2.25_to_2.26
That should be all you need to path, you silly nut  :P
Too much beta testing files.
I just reinstalled fh2. Might I suggest creating folders for FH2 install/patch files and for FH2 beta patches

Oh good god I've been trying to finaly reinstall FH2. I got Win7 some time ago and f0cked up by installing FH2 over 1.41 instead of 1.5. But that's only where the fun started. As of yesterday I've finaly found the courage to go and reinstall the whole stuff but down from and including the deleting of BF2 I haven't had a single setup without some sort of error.

Now, three attemps to properly install BF2 later I had fi-na-ly made it to installing 2.26 but guess what, it error'd. It says some kind of error involving the installment of the vehicles files if I remember correct. I'm way too tired to go on about this by myself for the time being so what's the deal with that? I downloaded the FH2 files onto my HDD a long time ago and they worked properly before. Could they have been corrupted over time and should I just download them again?

To make matters worse my antivirus (COMODO) keeps complaining and blocking and buggering the installs and I think that may be screwing things up here. But as of now I'm only one small step away from committing suicide so please don't mind my lazyness asking you guys for help without searching.  :-\

Since I'm not gifted in computer speak, the only advice I can give iis to turn your antivirus off while installing it. o-o

Otherwise, one of our magic FH2 tech support people *cough cough N24 cough* will probably help you out

I would definitely point at the antivirus acting things up for you. Switch it of prior to installing, i recon FH2's installer and BF2 1.5 are quite secure and don't need any watching. ;)

Other than that, always run the install files as an Admin in Win7 and switch off the user access control, it tends to act up with BF's installer.

I just downloaded FH2 2.26 parts 1 and 2 (to install on another PC) and when it asks me where I want to install it, it has this "C:\Program Files (x86)\EA GAMES\Battlefield 2\" as the destination folder. Do I need to make it install under the "Mods" folder in the BF2 directory or will work fine just under the main BF2 folder?

It works fine under the default installer path, it does NOT need to go to mods.

Congrats  :)
All BF2 servers are currently having issues though, be advised. If you'll be primairily playing singleplayer, might I suggest Drawde's mod in the Modding section of the forum!

yo is there a full installer or do I rly have to install piece by piece??

I just tried to update 2.0 to 2.1 and it says that there's no root file for fh2-patch-debug.log!
