Hello.

i have an old pc but bf2 runs smooth. FH2 is stuttering with 20 - 30 fps. i reduced the graphics to minimum but still bad.

What are the system requirements to run the game/mod smooth?

i just have an athlon cpu with 2.6 GHz combined with 8gb ram and geforce gtx 660

Just for comparison, I have a 6670 gpu with 8gb ram and e8500 3.1 ghz cpu running on win7. No problems. Settings set on high.

CPU is a bit weak but I believe that's enough to run it smoothly. Make sure your FPS are not locked to 30 in the launcher. If that's not the case, try to remove the shaders cache to force them to recompile:
Code: [Select]
Documents\Forgotten Hope 2\mods\bf2\cache

Another owner of a senior computer here, I noticed the game became quite unplayable after 2.56. 64 maps are extra jaggy with FPS sawing between 17-38. Just need to invest in new hardware, at some point  ;)

We are already at 2.57 tho, have you tried that? PFS issues / jerky mouse movement should be mostly gone.

are you talking about SP or MP game? BF2 is a win32 app, capable of using only one CPU core, and it is known that singleplayer game is much more CPU hungry because of that, try joining an online server and compare your performance. If you wish to play SP, try this.

Been playing MP every once in a while, but Tali (simply gorgeous map) in 64 put my PC on its knees. But yeah, I haven't tried the latest fix yet. Thanks for the advice.

2.56's FOV settings caused FPS issues on some low-end PCs (fps drops and some other stuff as well like mouse input lag as well), it has been lowered slightly to prevent that. Try it.

i think my cpu is really the problem.
I play SP. BF2 runs smooth with 64 bots but FH2 (2.57) does not. I reduced the Bot Number to 32 and now it works great.
I dont know how to play multiplayer. Gamespy server is down =(

thanks guys =)

FH2 runs it's own master server, you simply create an online account in game (on the first launch) and join the server, you don't need anything else. Make sure you use FH2 Launcher to run FH2, no other 3rd party app, like BF2Hub etc. If you encounter any problems with MP, join us on Discord and check the INFORMATION CENTRAL out there, os ask for help in the #tech-support channel.
