In the documentary "Soviet Storm: World War II in the East", there is a tank of the 6th Army entering Paris with a plush bear or monkey on the main gun.

Idk if that's the origin. The teddy bear was something made by Rad for FH1 and then kinda became the un-official FH mascot. I wonder if he got it from that
