Armed trucks are team locked in Hyacinth for balance reasons, make sure that armed trucks (hanomags) are locked in Pointe du Hoc 32 too. otherwise allies usually grab them and then rape Germans to the death.
also the 32p version is 100 % allies win all the time. (HSLAN server);
1. too few tickets for attacking team
2. too large flag capture range and thus allies always spawn in it
3. lack of proper artillery for Germans.
4. even after Germans got 2 more flags + one main base (happened once), they are still have ticket bleed. IMO, when you have 3 flags vs 3 the ticket bleed should stop.
5. very hard to assault with only pick up kit mg 42. it should be limited but choosable from the spawn menu. every German squad in ww2 had the LMG.
Thanks.

agreed on all point but point 5 has a problem, all map versions 16,32,64 use all the same kits loadouts. you cant change the kits between then map version.
so addin some more pickup kits to the german mainbase would help.

Germans had LMG's?

Sure you can.

Germans had LMG's?
MG 26(t), the Czechoslovak ZB vz. 26 ^^

And the MG35/36A Knorr Bremse.

It would be better if the spawnpoints for allies would be out of the flagradius at the farm
-
yeah, that was the point no 2 Lufty :)
btw, i always thought that LMG are all MG34/42 on Bipod, and HMG is when its mounted on a mount like Laffete. I searched the net again and I was right.
Guys check your facts before sharing your ignorance, you might confuse more people.

That makes it a general purpose machine gun. How about double checking some facts.

read above. and triple check your facts.

An universal or general purpose machine gun can be used in similar roles as LMG's and heavier MG's. This is the very definitive characteristic of a general purpose machine gun. LMG is just LMG.

I think the 32 one may be more fun if the germans can capture the Destroyed Bunker w/o having to get Farm First. Perhaps keep the backflags pushmode until both are captured. With 64 players, the map isnt that much fun as there are 32 guys in the flag radius that you have to kill in < 15 seconds to get a gray. Havn't played it alot, but the times I have, it was dull.

Can this have bot-support? probably no work needed besides since it as the same map layout, save for the ocean

2.46 changelog for Pointe du Hoc 32 (German bias!)
- Farm: moved the American spawning area significantly to the north of the flag, away from the German base.
- Destroyed Bunker: moved the American spawning area slightly to the north.
- Flak Emplacement: copied the spawning areas of both teams from PdH 64 (Axis - to the south, Allies - to the north).
- The MP40 in the German assault SMG kit was replaced with the MP34.

I like the changes on this map. It feels a bit more balanced now, the Germans can actually cap the farm. I'm a big fan of the spawn fixes ;) now when the Germans oust an AMerican SLer from the house, they actually have to do some work to get him back in there.
The last few times I've played it the Germans seem to have overrun the Americans and knocked them back off the cliff. But I haven't played it enough to call it unbalanced yet. I'm a fan so far :)
