Nah  :)
I know this japanese/british girl from the golden days of Red alert a path beyond, she got me into this.
Their are a few anime's i liked. Mainly because they drew away from the typical Japanese anime, or are extremly good to watch

Elfen lied, Black lagoon (This is one recommended! Watch it in dubbed english), Utawareumono something, Spice and Wolf, Gundam wing are the ones i watched

And all in Dubbed english, because the japanese voices make me go nuts after a while

EDIT=OOH and strike witches! Also know as=Bisexual girls with no pants with propellors on their legs use WW2 weapons and magic to fight aliens during WW2 in their underwear
