I, for one, am thrilled to see that other players / members of the dev team of FH2 feel that the current gameplay of FH is too fast. IMHO, the changes to the game / playerbase mindset in version 2.2 made the mod's gameplay too fast and no longer enjoyable for me. I have downloaded each patch as they were released and believe that the changes in 2.4 have started to slow the gameplay back down.
As to length of spawntime, I prefer a system that penalizes the player who rushes headlong with no regard for his virtual life and rewards the cautious, tactical player who is looking for more from a game than just a reaction time tester. A system such as this would add respawn time to players who die a lot or TK and subtract respawn time from players who engage in teamwork oriented tasks (capping flags, defending flags, spotting, repairing, etc.). There would of course be minimum and maximum respawn times.
