Well, the stereo is about 10-15 years, had been in several cars by now. Takes me already hours to lay the cables each time. Biggest problem is always to get the power supply cable from the front battery to the rear without drilling holes, as it is about 1cm thick. However, the stereo has been paid already.

On top of that, I don't know how to miniaturize a stereo properly. I'm not that much of a technician. Accordingly the parts are just very big. My cube:

I usually imagine my own sounds with it, like `tjunk, tupdieyupdiedee` aaa enemy spotted, ratatatataboom

Got to say I'm bit jealous to you guys in middle/west/south europe. You can say old audi (or any car) is best car. Here it WILL be rusty as hell. Founding over 10 year old car with little to none rust, would be miracle. Used cars also cost way too much in finland  :-\.

My neighbor has perfect condition ford capri from 70s though, but that's just because she bought it when it was new and never used it in winter  ::)

I told a friend of mine this story, he's a mechanic and he loves those old audi's. He was heartbroken.

Modern cars all look like the same curvy bubbles to me. Yesterday I saw an yellow Opel Manta roar by, owning everything on the crossing. Given, they are fuel-whores, but that's a car. I like edge's more I guess ;)

My opinion! Todays cars look like shit. When girls say they "find them cute" you know what you are at.

I think it all depends on what new cars you're talking about. New generic GM, Fords, Hondas, Toyotas. Yeah they look like boring no fun kind of cars. But then you look at some of the other ones....and then you have this

Yes it was Battleaxe, one of the few 80 Comfort Edition's in the Netherlands. It had only 1 rusty spot and that was because it was not properly fixed many, many years ago. Luckily I got another one now. And this 2 liter 4 cylinder packs almost double the horses. Also my old 1.6 Comfort Edition was declared total loss because the damage was higher than the value so the insurance wouldn't pay that. Damage estimate is 3,000 Euros and well repairable. But it might need a new axle too. It's still waiting to be either sold in parts or to someone who dares to repair it. Call your friend  ;D

And Ajappat, these Audi's don't rust if they never had damage. The whole body shell has been galvanised, if the paint stays on and if you don't replace parts with non-galvanised platework it will last 'till 2512. Also, a straight-5 2.3 liter Quattro 80 is probably one of the best things to have in a country like Finland. What are you waiting for? Go to Germany and import one!!

True, many modern cars either look like shit, or are all exactly the same.And they are constantly getting fatter and heavier, the New VW Golf weights 1340kg, that's almost the same as My 1990 Volvo 740.

@Moose
Thats not really a new car, its just a modernised '50 car, and its brilliant.
