For anyone with bad performance
« on: 07-09-2009, 03:09:56 »
with a 8800GTX I went from 20FPS in Cagny on full server to 70FPS by turning all the lighting options down to medium. Just thought people should know cause i saw a lot of complaints about bad performance

Yea I personally get some VERY nasty performance drops on Point du Hoc and the town in Goodwood mainly. I never had these issues in 2.15 but that's probably because of how dense these towns are.

Setting dynamic shadows to low also helps a lot, and it still looks pretty good on low IMO.

in 2.15 my FH2 would crash after every 3 maps, so i switched to medium textures and can play for days :)
all other settings maxed.
3870 here, and fps should be around 40-50 all the time. no spikes.

Might have to try this. I have a GTX 260 896MB, with x8 AA I was getting around 20fps at 1680x1050 with max settings. I turned it down to just x2 AA and it seems to be around a 10 - 20fps improvement, with no noticeable graphics change.

I wouldn't mind a bit more though. Low fps in the middle of a town isn't fun when there's a lot of small rooms, loads of stuff on the floor to get stuck on and a ton full of MP40 wielding Jerrys.

I got a 3870 too. I play on 1680 x 1050 with 8x AA and everything on max. detail, no FPS drop noticed whatsoever. I think the rest of the specs count more in FH2.2, like CPU and RAM.

Yeah good suggestion with AA, you can turn down to 2x, almost no difference in looks and gives fps boost with 5-20fps depending on areas and gfx card.

Turn everthing off or turn it down to lowest

Then put 100% on view distance

If you can, High on textures are nice. Not a must.

That's the way of the Rawhide

I HUNT ALONE WITH GOOD FPS!
