I WOULD say allies bias 1000 times and kill 500 churchills to see the render of the berthier carbine
Question=When can we see some weapon renders?
The 11th REI, the first of these units to be formed, was also the first under fire. On 11th June 1940, in the Verdunsector, it distinguished itself during an heroic defense against a German division. It was almost completely wipedout. The survivors fought until the armistice, when forced at last to lay down their arms, they were disbanded andthe regimental flag was burned. Of 700 Legionnaires POWs, nearly 500 escaped from Verdun. They wouldreappear later in North Africa, in the backbone of the new French army until the victory.
On 31 August, the dissidents (who had provisionally awarded themselves the title of 14 Half Brigade, but whosoon reverted to 13th DBLE) embarked once more in England. Their destination was Africa. After a check beforeDakar, which remained loyal to marechal Pétain, the Legionnaires sailed right around the south of Africa. Their firstoperation was against the Italians in Eritrea where, on 8th April 1941, they took the port of Massawa from a garrisonof 1,400 soldiers. But it was in the Western Desert that the real glory awaited the Legionnaires of the 13th DBLE.
Chasseurs alpins (alpine infantry)
In June 1940, the tanks loadedonto special railroad cars, were blocked on the wagons south of Neufchâteau since the rail-road and an other trainin front of the convoy had been destroyed by the Luftwaffe. The tanks could not be unloaded in this area and all ofthem were scuttled on 15th June 1940 by explosive charges except the tank n°99 for which the charge failed toexplode. The tank n°99 was therefore captured intact by the Germans and brought back to Berlin. It was tested ona range near Cossen. The electrotransmission of the FCM-2C interested Ferdinand Porsche for his later heavytanks. In 1942, it was seen in France at the Renault plant being overhauled. Brought back to Germany, the tankwas eventually captured by the USSR and was last seen in 1948 in East Germany according to several sources. From the other wreck, several intact turrets were used on the Atlantic wall. You can find numerous Germanpropaganda photos claiming that these tanks have been destroyed by German tanks, the wrecks where moved allaround to take "victorious" photos, sometimes tanks had fired at point blank against them to prove that they hadbeen destroyed etc. but they were simply abandoned and scuttled and never saw action.
Can somebody relay this to the French hope people just incase? i think it might come in handy
