The Kidney problem actually made me delve a bit deeper into this.

According to wikipedia, "...was Tel el Aqqaqir, the base of the Axis defence roughly 3 mi (4.8 km) northwest of the Kidney feature and situated on the Rahman lateral track." and "Kidney feature (also known to the Germans and Italians as Hill 28), often wrongly called a ridge".

So if, we look at this map and compare it with Google maps, we get this:


Since the Kidney ridge is apparently more of a hill rather than a ridge, finding it is pretty much impossible in Google satellite view, and I'm guessing the Egyptians don't have any publicly available topographic maps of the area.

I certainly like their approach of cutting away all the useless extra huff and puff modern shooters have, and instead focusing on the core gameplay. A bit sad that it's just infantry fighting but I guess you have to start somewhere.

I could use some help from someone who speaks Polish or is familiar with Polish militaria. I bought a Polish grenade box and it has some Polish text on it. I plan to restore at least part of the text once I'm done refurbishing the entire thing. Battle: LA has aliens being defeated because of one behind the lines guy destroying a command center, which then turns the aliens into pussies. Sounds pretty gimmicky to me. And it was a shitty movie, to add to that. I'm talking about a proper war movie, with massive battles with 20 soldiers dying for every one alien and without any of that special forces bullshit. A bit like how Edge of Tomorrow started, just without the time travelling crap.

You know, aliens think humans are weak because they're not united so they decide to invade. Humans band together and kick the aliens to kingdom come by shooting them in the face. Imagine World War II, but with aliens instead of Nazis. Just a simple misjudgment by the aliens. It should have a similar feeling to Mass Effect 3 without the final 10 minutes. It's pure resilience and numbers that eventually brings victory, no super weapons, no cutting off the head of the snake. Just lots of bullets and bombs.

I don't exactly follow ISIS' motive behind these attacks. The only thing it's going to lead to is tighter border control and more anger towards them. I guess the overall tensions between muslims and the rest might lead to ISIS' popularity and increase in recruitment, but I kind of doubt it.

The sick part of me kind of wants ISIS to do this thing in Russia. Then they would get the absolute shit kicked out of them after that.
