Title: MG81z In Mareth Line
Post by: Cheesus Krighst on 14-08-2012, 01:08:31
Is the MG81z supposed to have a really steep bullet drop? It seems unrealistic for it to go down that fast, especially for an AA mg.

And what do you understand in "steep bullet drop"? In my eyes, it's perfectly fine, given the general low-altitude flying in FH2. maybe you just need some more practice with it.

Have you seen how steep it is? Go into a multiplayer Mareth Line match, get onto the binoculars next to the AA mg ontop of the bunker hill spawn, and have a friend shoot straight towards the mountain top north east of that position. The bullet drops off barely 20 meters from the dried up river, that's very short compared to the handheld MG gun.

I am with @Cheesus Krighst on this, the bullet drop is way to high for this gun. Use the binoculars located at the side of the mg81z and you can take a look by yourself.

Well I took a look by myself and saw nothing wrong with it? I even drove 2 trucks next to each other, shot other with MG81z and other with handheld MG34, I aimed both at power lines that were above the target trucks and I got both trucks with same aiming point.

It might be possible, that tracers are dropping too fast, like they did on Vickers Mk VI (or do they still?). Hard to say as I tested this alone.

the bullet drop on the .50CAL is much much much MUCH more bigger. Try shooting down planes with the M13...Then try it with the MG81.  MG81 has zero bullet drop compared to the .50CAl
