Ok tried it out today.

Spawned as finland, and for some reason I seem to be one of the most powerfull nations in the world :P
I seem to have the best economy and have  40.000.000 inhabitants !

2 of my 3 games work now.   My Russia one is still broken.

Looking on their forums, apparently some of their servers crashed.  Probably because of the extra traffic from that tournament they're running (my guess).
