Ok thanks, now maybe i should not try to destroy Tiger 2's with it.

Only handheld gun capable of taking out Tiger is the Colt 1911.

In 2.4, you could get a very limited 3rd person view while in hull mg position.
Dont know if this is still standing. Wasn't really usefull btw

Loader has to manually eject a live shell, place it carefully back in the ammo rack and insert the new type of ammo. am i right ?

I find that the Sherman II Late (with the yellow square painted on it) often bounces off Fausts. frustration !

Very, very nice work, developpers ! Your hard work turned into an amazing result.

Things I like : everything. New maps are very nice, with lots of new weapons and an abundance of cover to hide from said weapons. Like what you did with Cobra! Haven't played any other of the old maps.

Love the new airplane handling, much smoother. Had a great time at Battle of Keren, flying in tight formation with a teammate in the new hawker hardys. Bombs away !

Things I don't like:
- more CTD (old computer, should try cleaning it, might help)
- Anti Tank guns with seperate driver/gunner position: While in gunner position, you still slide around a bit, while you aren't able to adjust via moving the gun.
- I will have to say goodbye to my social life :(

Suggestions / Re: DUKWs for US Army?

Greyhound works excellent in water on cobra anyway

Is that thing amphibious ? Or is the water just shallow enough to ride through ?

I violated a dead camel on Giarabub. Does this count ?

I play on a rather low-end computer.
Graphics on low has advantages but also disadvantages. For example, a destroyed tank wreckage gives a lot of smoke on high settings. But on low, it's sometimes hard to see if a tank is live/destroyed or part of the theatre.

Only reason I dont buy a new computer? I would probably play too much fh/other games and waste too much time.

Operation Cobra.

I was scouting for a guy in the 105mm howitzer.
We took out several strategic targets (PAK40, FLAK88,...), laid down barrages on strategic points, and even managed to destroy a live Panther tank hidden in a shrubbery. Was awesome. Also spotted lots of enemy tanks, which were brutally taken out by our airforce or tank destroyers.

USA won the map, and I even got a good score having made only 4 kills.

little suggestion:

Mortars in real life : They fire, they cover a big area. Not a very precise weapon.
Mortars in FH: They fire, they can hit a target spot on. Not realistic. Leads to much frustration on maps like Brest.

But...
On large maps, where mortars are necessary to break through static defences (Alam Halfa is the prime example here), accuracy is needed to be able to shoot certain gun emplacements that are dug in or covered by sandbags.

==> Is it possible for the developpers to make 2 kinds of mortars;
mortars for large maps, that are precise, like they are now.
and mortars for small, crowded maps, that have a certain inaccuracy built in?

My stats for artillary for 762 servers.
I've only been playing since mid january, and artillary kills make most of my vehiculized kills, if that is a word.

Artillery
485 kills
26 deaths
18.65 kdr
12h 18min 45sec

On some maps, arty does require a lot of skill and good spotters. But other maps... I just sit back, sip on my coke, and fire away, making dozens of kills. Especially when the enemy is driven back to their last capturable flag.  Wouldn't mind some tweaking here and there to improve funfactor.

Then why don't they just adjust the markings on the sights? Panzerfaust 30 = 30 metres marked on sight, eventhough the sight is calibrated at only 15 m. Why not put '15m' on it ? For realism's sake ?

I assume the same rules apply for PIAT ?

If you want to practise with the Faust 60/100. I advise you make a local server

Take the map meuse river, and go to german mainbase. Place Panthers and KT on various distances. Grab a hangomag for resupply, and start practising! The panthers and KT can take a hit or 2 -3. If you want a faust 100. it is in the mainbase somewhere.

Did this.

Also made myself squadleader and put attack markers on the tanks I wanted to destroy.
That way, I could exactly see at which distance I was standing with my faust.

what I found out : the sights don't line up with the distance. Why is this?
