Suggestions / Map ideas for the comming east-front
« on: 01-06-2011, 18:06:32 »
this Topic is made because the ''what would you like to see on the east-front'' topic has practicly no use other than people posting their favourite vehicles and weapons.

So i thought, after the post of Nissi it could be a little bit of help if WE the players give good sugestions for possible maps. This topic regards maps for the east-front in 1944.

try to make a suggestion with these lines:

- mapname
- summary of the battle
- what makes it unique, why should it be played
- how could the gameplay look like (please keep in mind: one sided slaughter is not really gameplay supporting)
- battlemaps & actual strategies used
- vehicles & weapons used
- picture of the place / houses. special buildings that make the area unique
- details like weather condition

lets see if this works  ;) and maybe the devs will get a new fresh look on possible map scenarios and gameplay

Modding / Editor problems
« on: 31-05-2011, 11:05:36 »
I'm having problems with my bf2 editor, i dont know if it is a win7 64bit problem, or something with my vidcard.

the issue is, i have installed everything for making a fh2 map, but when placing objects and then move them around  the objects, (house, bridge doesnt matter how large or small) are not moving smooth at all, just like having a gigantic lag.

my pc specs are pretty good, that cant be the problem i gues, another thing is, when my pc was running xp, no problems at all. ok the best solution here seems to reinstall xp just for the editor :-\
Im not planning to do that, are there any other solutions to make the editor run properly?

btw running it in xp sp3 admin doesnt help.

Clans and Tournaments / looking for a clan
« on: 24-03-2011, 10:03:28 »
Hi all out there!

First of all, let me introduce myself.

my name is Mik, im from Holland. I have been a Fh1 player since it was released, and this year i started to play FH2. I already played in some serious Fh1 clans, and played some forgotten honour tournaments. currtently im the the Smile or Die ''clan'' but its not realy a clan anymore, everybody has a serious life too :)
So im looking for some new adventures.

As the name of my topic points out,
Im looking for a clan who considers teramplay as the most important asset of a clan, more important than individual scores. this is the thing i'm missing when i play in public servers....
training and clanbattles is something im looking forward too, its been to long for me  ::) but above all FUN

Ive already checked this thread http://fhpubforum.warumdarum.de/index.php?topic=22.0

But i gues, perhaps there are more clans who arent on this list.

thnx for reading!

Mik

I have suggestion for the upcomming front, the Ardennes.

And i think this one has to be added for sure. not just for gameplay but pure for the historical accuracy of it.

The ardennen offensive is known as the last gamble of the Third Reich to stop the allied advance. there for the point to attack was the Ardennes because there the American Lines where the weakest, ect ect everybody knows  :P

here is my conclusion. the american units placed there didnt had much supplies, therefore some improvised weapons where made. so i suggest this weapon to be added for the American troops:

the n00b-stick  ;D ( I sadly dont have a picture of it, because i run Win7 64bit)
but the weapon consists of a splintery wooden stick with a big rusty nail hammered into it.

the weapon was widely used among US troops attacking the small town of Foy in 1944, and served after the war in numerous armies. some european countries developed this weapon into a true killing machine, a wooden poll of 5metres with a giant rusty nail. today its one of the best tank killing weapon systems.  ;D

Suggestions / The forgotten hope website. (update?)
« on: 17-05-2010, 12:05:31 »
Hi all out there!

I was wondering, when we can see a new update of the website? ive aksed this before regarding a update in the vehicle list. like with FH1 i would like to see a button to check on wich map specific vehicles are used.

like this: http://forgottenhope.warumdarum.de/template/showmaplist.php?mod=FH&id_item=1

From my own knowledge of making a website this will take some time, i understand.
Is this something done later? or can we expect a few updates along the way ?

Suggestions / command vehicle?
« on: 15-03-2010, 13:03:03 »
I have just a small question. do we get to see any sort of command vehicle in Normandy or later maps?
they are availible in the North Afrika campaign, and i believe that a vehicle for Normany was created but lost somehow, i dont know for sure.

but it will be great if such a vehicle is added.

Suggestions / wich one has the right skin?
« on: 26-10-2009, 10:10:17 »
hi there. i dont want to nag about this, but its just something that catched my eye after comparing the FH2 model to the real one

wich one has the right numbers on it?

a realy great model for FH2 and it looks like the same skin is used just as the real one below
Only one thing, the numbers 84/61 are different (in the wrong order) .  i know this wont bother me in game, but as FH2 devs you might want to be as realistic as possible.

btw great work on the model, it looks like its based on the very same picture i found. even the door numbers are the same  ;D

i have followed all progress of the mod, but i would like to see the american vehicles on the website.

the german vehicles are already in the list, i asume this isnt a big job to do.

thnx!
