Sainte-Mère-Église
(Axis - 222 Allied - 4)
June 7th, 1944. Paratroopers of the 82nd Airborne have held the town of Sainte-Mère-Église for nearly 24 hours against numerous counterattacks. Now the 4th Armored Division coming from Utah Beach has linked up with the troops in the town, just in time for the next German counterattack...
"Sneaking up to the church tower with a sniper and taking pot shots at the Germans down by town centre or wherever the popped up, as well as spotting tanks, and taking out APC gunners like a pro from above... " - The_Only_Topgun

Bloody Gulch
(Axis - 31 Allied - 367)
When the 101st Airborne entered the town of Carentan on June 12, 1944 after heavy fighting on the two previous days, they met relatively light resistance. The bulk of the surviving German defenders had withdrawn to the southwest the previous night after a heavy Allied naval and artillery bombardment. Both sides realised the importance of the city: for the Americans, it was a link between Utah Beach and Omaha Beach, and would provide a base for further attacks deeper into German-occupied France. For the Germans, recapturing Carentan would be the first step towards driving a wedge between the two U.S. landing beaches, and possibly destroying or severely disrupting the Allied invasion. At dawn on June 13th the counterattack by the 6th FJR and 17th SS Panzergrenadier Division came...

Foucarville
(Axis - 524 Allied - 15)
When the orders came for Operation OVERLORD, the 502nd was tasked to parachute on Drop Zone ‘’A’’ and secure the two northerly exits behind Utah Beach. The 3rd Battalion was tasked to secure Exit #4 and Exit #3 near the village of Foucarville. The 1st Battalion were responsible for destroying four roadblocks with German emplacements located southwest of Saint Martin de Vareville. On the evening of 5 June 1944, the paratroopers of the 502nd boarded transport aircraft and lifted off into the evening sky. In the early morning hours of 6 June 1944 over France, four battalion serials came in ten minutes apart. The leading planes, scattered by low clouds and German antiaircraft fire, dropped the majority of the 2nd Battalion outside of their drop zone and scattered them across the French countryside.
"The funniest game ever played in F|H. The TS conversations were brilliant and I wished they were recorded." - Spartanlegend
"Allied mortars. I felt like they're after me all the time. When I was driving around a shell hits in front of me, then I take a sharp turn to right, continue that way, another shell passes right by me, I changed direction again and kaboom. It was damn frustrating and I was like WTF!!! Laughing
Not to mention their direct hits on me when I was passing some random location! " - Erwin

Amfreville
(Axis - 127 Allied - 67)
In the early hours of D-Day, a second wave of C-47's carrying airborne infantry over the coast of Normandy, heads towards the Merderet River. Their mission: To secure or destroy bridges over the Merderet River leading to the beaches at Utah. Despite flying at low levels, the heavy cloud cover and fog, along with the heavy fire from the German AA flak batteries, disperses the C-47's and their para-drops over a wide area. Far from their original objectives and with equipment lost, the airborne infantry must find a way to group up and secure the roads in and leading out of a little town called Amfreville.
