So far, TBH, especially as a SPer, my initial review isn't great...
Maybe its my crappy PC with 1GB RAM and Sempron Processor, but here goes:
Biggest joy:
Addition of the porne animation for mg gunners... I guess that's the end of MG-dolfin diving?
sparks flying from artillery HE
A new 76mm cannon sound
A functional Goodwood
Third person cannon sound
Ricocheting shells can now hit the ground besides flying into the air
New rocket smoke look
New maps and toys...
P51 sound effect
The rain effect.... Save for vehicles still kicking up dust which is disconcerting... Didn't play it in high texture, but do stuff shine more in the rain?
New .50cal sound... Not the coolest, but its better than the former in 3rd person
Biggest disapointments:
Tanks in SP seem to have completely stopped firing HE... and they seem reluctant to fire their cannon at all... making tank combat really wierd...
All the AI map issues remain.. bots still spawn upstairs in the Goodwood isolated base and remain there till you kill them, commander still gives stupid commands and still tells defenders in older maps to attack or defend when he should shut up
no 'completely' new map added save for those already in Beta stage... and even then only a few of those
Some distant 3rd person sounds are the same as close-up and so their range is confusing...
bot Stuka still flies firing like a fighter as per LegionX's beta... and doesn't drop bombs.. and gets pwned by AA every single time.. And still wont use its divehorn - And i haven't checked, but I'm sure that's the same sound as before
AT gunners camp the gun, which is cool, but sucks since they don't even turn to fire unless the target is right infront of them
Luttich now CTDs
