There is a reason why we don't use ww1 era guns in wars anymore....it's because they are crap compared to the weapons and technology now, the ww1 era guns are crap in real life and they will be crap in a game, dice you had better not take the enjoyment of blasting in an attack chopper away from me. I think any of those people in the articles would be shitting their pants when they, assaulting with their precious M4's, suddently recieve defensive fire from a MG08, Vickers or M1917 watercooled machine gun.

There is a reason why russia and India keep these guns in reserve (russia alone has over 150 000 Maxims according to sources)

Well, reserve doesn´t mean they´re being used any more. Of course it´s dated technology, but in the historical context it´s still useful.

And I´d much rather carry a modern machine gune than one of those water-cooled beasts...
