Server not up tonight either? If not I'll settle for Geopat's suggestion if anyone else is going to join as well...

We need someone with admin power on the server!

Looks just fantastic! Man that will be sweet to fly :D

Of course the silver lining with players like Keonig, EmmitFitzhume, etc are the rare but extremely gratifying moments of beating them at their own game. Got the drop on Keonig once with a no. 4, head on, in that microsecond where he had me in his sights. So satisfying  ;D

Having more maps with 16 and 32 layers would also be fantastic for prolonging the play time on 762 on a nightly basis. The system they have that scales the maps based on the number of players is awesome, and I've seen battles go on way later then normal. However, inevitably a 64 with no alt layers will come up in rotation, and then everyone leaves.

I'd personally be really stoked to see some alternate day/night layers and sizes for everything, as long as it's kept in the realm of historical accuracy. In addition to custom maps, it sounds to me like a relatively easy way to add some much needed variety/replayability while we wait for future theaters  :D

Well soon as yourself and 69rat actually spawn in we can get to it!

Agreed that the terrain seems a bit bright, but I'm loving the dark, foreboding atmosphere! Definitely looking forward to playing this one day  :)

I had noticed Damaso's absence recently and I was a little disappointed to see this is the reason. I lurk these and 762's forums far more then I actually post. so I've always observed the various controversies surrounding his play style. I have to say I agree with some of his past bans, the early idiocy with tanks, and the blatant use of exploits come to mind, and I can truly see how this could poison his image in the eyes of the admins. Having said that, I've seen his play style become much more effective over the past months and aside from occasionally annoying tactics like the Ju-52's on Crete (which are against no rules I know of) I've seen his squad very clearly turn the tide of battle in favor of his team several times. A very close round on Port en Bessin and a round on Bastogne a few weeks ago come to mind.

I get how annoying his passive aggressiveness and immaturity can be, and I know how "out there" his views can get, but I'm legitimately sad to see this happen. He has really seemed to learn from his mistakes in the past, and evolved as a player. I'm not always in the mood for it, but his squad can be a lot of fun to play on, if only for a change of pace now and then, and the fact that his talking seems to encourage more use of VOIP from the squad members.

I've never had any trouble with any admins or other players, and I don't want to ruffle any feathers by weighing in on this, but this situation does seem unfair given everything... And echoing what PanzerKnacker and sheik said, it would be nice to see a more thorough explanation. And I also feel that with the reality that the uncap rule depends a lot on context which may be difficult to ascertain (the difference between someone spawn raping, and a firefight while retreating from a recently controlled flag for example), anymore then a kick in that circumstance is pretty harsh.

Ultimately it's no real skin off my back, and I'll continue playing on whatever servers there are, as I have without issue for years. But I will certainly miss the fun of joining up with his squad.

Wasn't Roughbeak or Christie working on something like this? Maybe it never got finished, but perhaps releasing whatever was completed would be helpful given all the new players

Haven't had a chance to play the new maps yet, but that just gives me something to looks forward to!
Loving the additions to the airplane hud, as well as the updated tanking.

Only thing I noticed about that was that on Gazala I took three hits without noticing because there seemed to be no audible effects of the shots striking, and I only saw the damage when I checked my health. Armor hits were very noticeable in 2.45. Did that change, or perhaps the sounds of battle were just to loud for me to notice?

Also it seems like there's more smoke discharged from the tank's gun after firing now. Maybe I just never noticed it before, but either way it looks very nice!

FH2 Help / Support / Re: fh2 configurator
« on: 30-01-2014, 23:01:33 »
awesome! that works.... but now I have a question about my flightstick. attack 3 Logitech. I have the new drivers and I tried putting everything in the secondary place. but still no chance of working.

I have a logitech stick myself (extreme 3D pro, which doesn't look a whole lot different than yours), works fine, but I have to make sure it's plugged in before I run FH2, otherwise it's unresponsive as you describe. Hope that helps.

Also if you're planning on flying a lot, I'd upgrade your stick to something with a HAT switch. Mine was just $30, and the free-look makes all the difference in combat, not that I'm a great pilot by any means...

I'm pretty sure "Patch C" is a single player improvement thing, perhaps you should try asking in that forum.
