Hmmm I dont know if FH2 recreates the folder if you would delete the whole ForgottenHP 2. It's wort a try. If that doesn't work reinstall FH2.4
What happened to your FH2 installation that caused this problem?

I have kind of the same problem
I have hight than 1.5 patch
installed it properly and when i click icon i get black screen doesnt go away, i click on task manager and it shows error but i cant click on it and it doesnt show on desktop/ homescreen etc. Its like it isnt there, and ive tried all of the before fixxes but non of them work. Can you help?

what is your operating system,RAM, what is error displayed by task manager.

 Does regular Battlefield 2 work for you?

 Also, be patient, we will try to help but it might take some time for knowledgeable people to respond.

Hey, I'm new here, and I wonder if anyone could help me.
Here's my problem :
I installed Forgotten Hope 2, I have BattleField 2 (obviously), patched to version 1.5.3153-802.0 and, I had the NovintHFX.dll problem, so I searched in google, and that lead me here. So, I did everything you guys said, I copied it to FH2 folder, and I deleted the profile folder.
And it still doesn't work.

Any help would be nice.

Ps: Sorry if my english isn't correct, because I'm Portuguese.

Hi, Pea_Shooter, and welcome to the forum!

I'm sure (well, on 99%) that NovintHFX.dll is installed by Battlefield 2, not by FH2. So, if your "vanilla" Battlefield is working, my guess would be wrong installation path of FH2. The mod should be installed in the same folder as Battlefield 2.

What destination folder you chose when installing FH2? Does this folder contains something like 60-70 files and folders now? Are there BF2.exe and FH2.exe files among them?

 ??? You have the game but not the files? Do you mean mod files? Or actual game files? Or do you only own a serial key?

If it's a digital distribution key you should just input it on whatever site you bought it from and download from there...

So when I try to download the NovintHFX.dll it says "This file does not have a program associated with it for performing this action.PLease install a program or, if one is already installed, create an association in the Defualt Programs control panel."   PLEASE HELP!!!

I suppose you somehow ended opening file instead of saving it in your FH folder. Save the file somewhere on your PC and then copy it to the mod folder, the one with FH2.exe in it.

I NEED HELP plz i just bought a disk copy of bf2 it ran fine it had the latest pach it 1.5 it worked  after waiting 2 hours fh2.46 parts 1 and 2 were downloaded i downloaded them after trying to play i got the novinthfx.dLL is missing  i downloaded it placed it in my bf folder no change i still get the same bullshit message saying its missing i also cant run my normal bf2 now i tried all things that are written on this Bord
