Deploying and Undeploying Deployable Kits
« on: 23-01-2010, 05:01:16 »
Hi all,

If you tried deploying the Lafette you might have noticed how hard it can be to get it just right. In a bumpy area it can take several attempts to get its angle right. But after deploying it two times my Lafette is gone! Is this done on purpose or a bug? Same thing with mortar kits though the Lafette should be able to be replaced more than a few times!

Bug, remember, the BF2 engine isnlt exactly designed to take placeable kits.  You just gotta be careful, and practice on where you can actually place them.  When it places weirdly, or not at all, that's just the engine fucking up.

When it's not bugging, how often can you redeploy it?

If you deploy and not fire the gun and then try to redploy it later it can be gun.
I often fire a few rounds and then undeploy it.

You need to wait for the kit to rearm you with a new one.  The deployable kits act as an ammo box, specifically so they give you a new one to redeploy when you get off it.  You need to wait a few seconds for the kit to rearm you before leaving, or else you will be stuck with no MG/mortar/whatever to deploy again.
