BF has been milking the same cow for every damn year since 2002, and the BF series is still very popular and almost universally acclaimed franchise that offers unique combined arms multi-player action on large maps. (The PC version does, at least.)

One of the problems with BF is that it has become consolised though. It will increase their overall sales, but alienate themselves from the PC market.

that said, the BF franchise is a solid product, unlikely to result in bad sales. No matter how repetitive the gameplay is, no matter how often the modern warfare theme has been (ab)used, no matter how much of the game has been dumbed down for consoles, the hordes will still buy it, just as they buy a new COD and a new FIFA every year despite the minor differences between the product and the predecessor.

In which way BF3 suffers from it having a console version? It's a great PC version; fully functioning graphics settings, adjustable FOV, superior graphical fidelity, larger maps and 2,6 times higher max player limit. No sign of a "bad console port" there.

It's interface resembles to that of consoles. Changing key bindings is a pain in the ass.
Spawn menu is that typically that of a console.
Lack of ingame server list .
Lack of settings for personalisation/map.
Squad system is that of what you expect on a console

And I read somewhere in an interview that EA admitted that they dumbed down the PC version graphical  wise in order to scope with the console versions. And to be honest, it seems to me that EA certainly forgot to check some maps on 64p prior to release because some maps do feel very small (metro anyone ?)

nope
Brilliant argument.

is not an argument, it is a fact, BF is not the only franchise that does combined operations in multiplayer large eviroments

No, it's not  argument, that was my point. It was a random one word statement in which you didn't try to provide anything even marginally meaningful content to the discussion. Try again.

Looks like EA closed another studio..numorous rumours flying around its.............Visceral games! The studio that just published Dead space 3.
http://kotaku.com/5986029/ea-lays-off-staff-fate-of-visceral-montreal-in-question

People witnessed the studio being closed down as we speak..

Dead space 1 and 2 were great. But EA never got involved into its development

Dead space 3 however got EA involvement...And it is nothing like the origenal ones...Dull, boring, survival horror amount=Zero.

I mean, things people liked about Dead space 1 was that it was bloody difficult..movement was sluggish but thats what made it so epic. You cant carry as much ammo as you want to. taking 2-3 weapons, scrouning ammo for each, carefull management...
EA destroyed that by ordering Visceral to introduce........universal ammo... DS3 is a perfect example of a dumbed down game designed for a huge audience..

It was a "good game", but not worth the cash. Nothing special.
