Great Stream, first round of the final was awesome! 4 minutes blitzkrieg, crazy.
Yeah, the spectator overlay is great, perfect for streams and competetive play. Unfortunately I didn´t see you play Thorondor, might rewatch the stream later, though.

It seems that rest of the free gift copies of NS2 are being sent out now. So if you pre-ordered NS2 before Steam, you should receive your extra copy soon. There was some problems and people like me, who pre-ordered the collectors' edition on day 1 didn't get their sopy at the same time with the others.

I got my gift copy last night, so everyone should have theirs before the release in October.

Got mine already and gifted it to a friend whom I´ve hooked up on the game. ;)

Anyway, there´s currently the finals of "Blinds Beta Cup" running on Twitch. They´re also going to hand out a free copy of the game later on, so if you´ve got nothing to do, want to watch some NS2 competetive gameplay and (with some luck) want to win a free copy, check ou the stream.

Also, good article on the game by PC Gamer magazine. A tad short, but sums up the whole experience nicely. The new Beta Build 222 is also on the way.

Nice songs! I´m still looking for a full version of "Gorgie Girl", though. ^^
Anyway, played my first public round as commander today which was quite a challenge. The RTS part of the game seems to be quite good and actually quite intuitive. I had some problems with setting up the right buildings etc. and multitasking two simultaneous attacks on the map plus setting up new buildings. In the end, despite a good start, we lost, though. The round was still a valuable lesson and the fact that me as a total commander newb was tolerated and even encouraged by my team shows how good the community of NS2 is.
I still prefer the FPS part so far, but playing as commander seems like lots of fun, especially with a good and friendly team.
