Sorry, I meant I will go for K98/G43/STG44. To be entirely honest I don't like to use LMGs.

My vote:
- 1st place: No. 4
- 2nd place: kar98k with hood

reasons:
No. 4
- No. 4 is the fastest bolt action rifle to fire
- it has 10 rounds
- the sights are perfect for me. best vision possible.

Kar98k
- i can aim better than with the unhooded kar98k (dont ask me why)
- still pretty accurate
- i had the most training with that thing, because i hate SMGs and nearly always take panzerfaust or engineer kit/ it comes in combination with other weapons

however when i dont need my ladung/ panzerfaust i always take the No.4.

Sorry, didn't mean to strike out on personal level, it was more of a general note for all. Sounds are a big part of the game and hearing that K98 or MG42 go off brings attention, sometimes quicker than the blue name pops up.

There's been cases where I've taken a shot at a silhouette based purely on the sound of the gun. Tough luck, if it's one of our own.

I know what you mean. I usually keep my minimap zoomed in as far as it will go and make my split second decisions based on that alone. I often forget about those blue names that pop up like you say  .

But yeah, in the heat of a battle the sound of the gun does bring attention to you.

Yeah, I love how the sound of the rifles/guns are different - makes it a lot easier to differentiate between friend and foe

The different coloured uniforms also help - as well as who is shooting at you!

Though I have TK'd a few times:

- once a friendly shot at me and I instinctively shot back... and killed him
- another time I was with another guy, who was in a mini-firefight with an enemy, so I shot who he was shooting at... only for it to be a friendly lol

Regarding the carcano discussion, it turns out that all factory ammo was simply mixed in a huge bowl, putted on clips, boxed and shipped. This is what gave varying accuracy results with carcanos

it was changed during the war though, and some ammo producers made correct serial matched ammo(All of there ammo goes in one clip and shipped, no arsenal mixing)

yep, yesterday had another great round with a carcano on sidi. The sights are so great. They are based on Ferdinands mannlicher M88-90 model

It seems that alot fancy the lee-enfield and the mauser. With no surprise, they are awesome rifles

But today i truly learned wich is the master of ALL bolt action rifles. I went to the range, recieved a rifle in my hand wich i also plan to shoot with, and i know this is the best bolt action rifle ever



Forget the fast cocking of the lee enfield, this thing does it twice as fast and smooth
Forget the accuracy of the Mausers, this rifle makes groups smaller then an ant
Forget fast loading cycle of mannlicher, This beauty its stripper clip=with your pinkie finger you press 6 rounds in the magazine
Forget rugged and sturdiness that makes the mosin famous, this Beast is rock solid and strong like a bone
And forget the safety of a pre-war Arisaka...This knight shoots safe, is safe and makes you feel safe

I am talking about the amazing Karbiner 31. A variant of the schmidt rubin(its a variant of schmidt rubin)

If this thing ever sees light in a videogame...........God i wish it will
