My fav since ever is the carcano. Pof.
I'm taking my own freedom
puttin' it in my song
singing loud and strong
proving all day long
I'm takin' my freedom
puttin' it in my stroll
I'll be hop-steppin' y'all
lettin' the joy unfold

Maybe they are refering to the lousy damage inflicted by the 6.5mm (surgeon gun) calibre.

If they are lousy, then what about pistol rounds? Isn't the powerful .45 lousier? Any rifle rounds damage should be quite significant.

Whether your hit by a carcano or a K98, you will be out of combat no mather what. The afterward lethalithy is the only difference. The carcano inflict less tissue damage then lets say a K98...

But a wounded soldier is a bigger hindarence then a dead soldier. And out of one 7.92x57 mauser round, you could make 1.5 Carcano rounds.

Germany understood this and almost switched to the 6.5x55 swedish mauser round back in the 30's. The round was superior to the 7.92x57 in pretty much every way exept lethaltity.

Germany eventually decided not to adopt it because it issent a good round for a machinegun. It was actually a good round but for a tank mounted MG this was diffrent and a aircraft one

There was a mauser designed bullet for this, IIRC the 8x59mm. the 6.5x55 became the standard infantry ammo and the 8x59 became the Tank and aircraft mounted ammo.

The Caracano is accurate enough to hit a moving target 100 meters away twice in five seconds, causing about a dozen wounds, if fired from the top floor a book depository. ;)

Haha, true.

Government conspiracy!

Tell me where can I find this unscoped Springfield in game?

Edit: I voted for No.4 because it has big magazine and M1917 because its rare in game - only in ammo pick up kits

And I don't think if theres any difference in accuracy between all these rifles....

Also on ammo kit, I think? In Hurtgen Forest and PHL?

edit: I vote Kar98 and SMLE. Best sights in the game.

Nah, I haven't played Americans on PDH after 2.4 release... Played only once as Germans - didnt notice it...

On Hurtgen is M1917 I think, on PHL havent played it in 2.4...

There is no ammo kit with Springfield. there might be a grenadier kit in the files though.
