Thanks Aser! Will test it this eve and will get back to you!  ;)

Update:
I have one word for you Aserafimov: ----- AWESOME!!
You really have a talent in mapping. Really liked the background sounds of the artillery battery firing (with 5.1 surround makes you flinch) The destroyed village, streets, field look absolutely immersive....still need to test the SP part but I am sure it will be great! Good job!

thanks for your support :)

yes, please test the SP and revert to me, because it seems that I messed something between the last version and previous version and now it set me error message which is connected with AIPathFinding...need to check what goes wrong...

anybody has the CTD in SP?

Just ended a 1hr session testing Longues Sur Mer and I must say that I am really impressed. I really enjoyed playing this map even just on 32 bots (Processor can't support any more bots without lagging.) Thumbs up!  :)

What I noted was that when shermans get destroyed and respawn on the beach bots find difficulties in getting to the road to start going uphill towards flags. This doesn't happen with the first wave of Shermans.

PS That dog was chasing me all over the place  ;)

I keep getting CTD's about 2 min into the round with this latest version.
The previous version did not have this issue.
Very good work on this map keep it up.
thanks

Me too - it's a very fun, challenging map so hope it's fixed soon :)

No CTD for me...I'm using the "final" version, but I haven't added the new AIPathfinding folder yet.

Hi to everyone,

here you could find the latest version of Longues sur Mer.

Download links:

http://www.4shared.com/file/krSaNZzY/Longues_sur_Mer_final_version.html

http://www.gamefront.com/files/20006323/Longues_sur_Mer_final_version.rar

change log:

trench flag and gun battery flag are combined into one flag placed around gun battery.

now US troops have three sherman tanks, the first is assigned to the first US flag,
other two tanks will spawn on the beach when us troops captured gun battery.
For the german troops have available one stug 40.

I adjusted the infantry spawn points, now US bots can attack gun battery from two directions.

AIPathFinding problem is fixed, now you should play without crash.

probably fps is improved also, adjusted view distance...

I hope you will enjoy:)

will try it now!  great, been looking forward to trying this map again!

edit:

you've fixed the crash which is very good and the shorter view distance helps with the CPU/GPU load

but I would but a couple more US tank in and potentially expand the width of play area past the first line of resistance, it's a real choke point.  Plus 200 tickets per team is 4x too few

I would also man the MG42s with bots to make the escape from the beach harder.  Need at least 5-6 MGs manned to make that interesting, only have two and they are not manned.

Still a very fun map, just needs a couple of tweaks :)
