I think you can see in the Pegasus stream how it works. That one was uploaded to the FH2 youtube channel. Haven't tried it on my own yet but it works like the Stuka-Zu-Fuß to my knowledge. ;)

Since the devs tend to convert the French stuff, could we get this at least as a pickup kit please (FM 24/29) ?

Seems cute, lots of boom in a small box. I still think most French gear is trash but that's just my opinion, it's a lovely model.

Well, I think that there are a lot of parallels to the Italians - some equipment is outright revolutionary, but then you have the Chauchat and the Breda... .

The Chauchat was no longer in use in WW2 this is a weapon similar to the Bren made in the 30's and used by the French army until the 1950's, I really don't see how bad this could be compared to the MG 26 (t) or the Bren that I find quite good and fun to use.

6th june its d-day so maby they will release the pegasus bridge map =-p (just a speculation though)
and another thing they show also french stuff/vehicles are they secretly add a french hope map into fh2 after all =-p the devs are bening sneaky latley :P

These are the only two french vehicles added (+ one french tank leaked accidentaly after Omaha Beach release) and they were already shown in the Pegasus Brigde dev stream long time ago. Nobody is adding a french hope map into FH2, Pegasus is just a map where french stuff can be finally used ;)

We have plenty, just look at Normandy theatre. But I thought we're talking about French Hope project maps gamerjer mentioned, and no, we don't have any of those maps in game :)

We have some german vehicles based on french ones (like marders) on some normandy maps for a long time.

This one was made by our Kraetzer (he is from Germany). ;)

There is no such thing like French [Hope] devs if that what you meant (they were a group of mappers). All the vehicles shown in the news are made by FH dev team, but it doesn't mean there aren't any French among them ;)
Also on stream it sounds like it has sound from some other vehlichle in FH2?
It's using modified Universal Carrier engine sounds, since in reality it sounds quite similiar.

Actually i did a UE but it was on sketchup and my model was too high poly and lacked some things like detailed tracks, etc. So devs made the right choice by making a completly new one, which looks astonishing imo

Uh probably not. If by 'French type' you mean the French camo and markings on them than I doubt it, unless they forget to take them out before the patch. It's really just a different skin for the same vehicle tho and it wouldn't benefit anyone to include it. Unless WAW or FHT are working on an early west front campaign.

Yes that is Hotchkiss H39, probably made for French Hope and for Omaha but it is in Editor and it is nice model. You can drive it, all finished.

nope.
It isn't finished, IIRC armor thickness and some other values like speed etc. aren't properly codded, also, most likely it doesn't use the simplified mesh like other tanks do (to make angle mod work properly) and that can affect the balance in a negative way if used on maps. That's why devs don't release those vehicles untill they 100% ready. This one was released accidentally with H39 turret on Omaha, I believe that if devs would ever release early war map, they will still need 'some' work to finish french vehicles.
but it would be lovely to have Hotchkiss Stuka zu Fuß if it fits any existing Normandy maps we already have in game ;)

Yeah, a german hotchkiss on the maps that got the lousily equipped german forces on would make a fun but rather useless addition. Like Lebisey? Firefly vs Hotchkiss seems fair, right??

Well, Hotchkiss tank would be useless indeed as its cannon probably can't penetrate anything more than Allied halftracks, UCs and other light armored vehicles (if there are any others on normandy maps?) but H39 mobile artillery vehicle can be a very dangerous vehicle for Allied forces. It would be the best armored and armed mobile arty in game so far.

You could put them on a map with americans paratroopers only armed with bazookas and one 57mm AT gun at la Fière causeway on D-Day for example the germans used some to counter attack the airborne assault (without the rockets).
These tanks were used to fight infantry and not other tanks ofc.
Problem is we lack paratrooper player models. :'(

Knowing how to finish a map is far more important than being able to place statics neatly. We have people in the team who can do the static stuff. I myself am just that guy who can do terrain and place statics, hitmaker is the dev I work with in order to finish the map we are working on. And very recently TS4ever started up a co-work project in a very similar fashion. This is a good way to divide the workload and avoid getting burned out.
From my personal experience, not only does it let each of the participants to fully focus on their own tasks, but they can also inspire each other to work more. Planning and doing things together is not only productive but also helluva fun as long as you are at the same wave length with each other about what you are after with your map.

Well without SVN access it can be really pissy as making sure you both are working on the most up-to-date versions is important, good communication too.
But if you are not able to teamwork, then yeah, you just have to learn everything and carry everything yourself. Admireable attribute to hold but requires a lot patience to iron it to perfection.

I like to work in team, but when I create sth I would like to work completely by myself on it and take responsibilty for this. Team is only to help me when I got problems or if it has problems to give help... And yes, I'm a bit of individualist. ;)
Edit: Working together on a map usually ends with "tiding mess" one by each other...

Are we going to see an unarmed Renault UE ingame? The germans used many of them as tractors or munition cariers (as they were intended). Maybe we can have a ressuply version with ammo in the bin and 1 to 3 passangers- it will be used like the ammo trucks ingame.

Would be nice but I dont think it will came ever as that.Maybe for French Hope(tease).
