Sounds good, i mean you can spawn then directly at the front, and don't have to drive for a while.

Question to anyone:

What do you think about this idea: Imagine you have a map, there are several spawnpoints placed in logical places, in-active. Places where perhaps a SL would position himself, if he was there.... Now imagine that SL spawn is disabled. These strategical places are chosen by the mapper. Players can now spawn there, if anyone from his team reaches them, and controls the area... This for one team only, pretend axis is attacking... They reach one of these positions, clear it from enemies, then they can spawn there.

Does this sound OK?.. I mean, it would be the same as SL, except it would force axis in this case to actually achieve something, to clear the area... Sort of like a flag with spawns, except it isn't a flag, it's more like a location that the SL should have chosen if it was realistic... (e.g. not behind some stupid bush).

The number of these locations could also differ from map to map
The positions could also be in a series of push-like chains, forcing the attacker to push forward, to gain more spawnpoints.

Any feelings?

yes! because anyone in the team can spawn there, not only those in the squad.

Natty this is exactly POE2 Frontlines modus we talked long ago. its nice. but only works on special maps. made for it.

SL spawn is better than no mobile spawn.
I prefer the Project Reality System with rally points. IMO they have some advatages.
  - The squad doesn't get scattered when the SL dies.
  - The SL can join the battle too.
  - It enourages the squads to stay together, because you need three players to place the rally point.
  - Rally points are not movable and therefore it is easyer for the defender to find them.

IMO there is no general argument against mobile spawn points in vehicles. They certainly can add some tactical depth. But this should be the choice of the mapper.

No it isn't... it is my system, combined with push... It doesn't auto-spawn you at the frontline like PoE2 does it, player can still choose to spawn in a normal flag, or in mainbase.. or at these natty-spawns.  :D

Shouldn't "all" strategic points on a map be Capture Points (flags0 to begin with though? Those flags are placed at strategic points (atleast of the mapper knows what he is doing and doesn't just throw a flag somewhere random..). .

But after playing the map a while you know those 'secret' spawnpoints and then the surprise is gone and the surprise is the most important factor from the SL/vehicle spawning, soldiers spawn where you don't expect them so then you have to change your tactics etc.

But maybe you can make them different in each round, like the weapon caches in PR.

Isn't that just flag spawns without the flag?

I say remove SL spawn. It worked brilliantly with FH1 and it will work now.
