I agree 100% with flippy (except that I like aberdeen).
Never liked ramelle neuville one bit, never understood why it was even played.
I see were you are trying to reach: "how can a 17 year old kid have such a thinking like this? why doesnt he wants to be like normal teens who whana get rich? and his plan actually makes sense, but is too damn revolutionary and good at the same time than is still doubthfull if it works..." - Damaso

Lord yes.

The strange thing for me is that the mod is pretty well set as far as what I was looking forward to. The North Africa campaign was done really well. Now with Normandy I can play as (or against) the Americans and Canadians. Plus it has my favorite piece of armor in the war, the Panther. Once they add Market Garden in some way, I'm set. An Arnhem map would be incredible given what I've seen so far.

Toddel, my guess for the reason people react so violently to Ramelle Neuville being suggested is that in the past, people like Flippy (IIRC, sorry Flippy if this isn't you) who 'ought to know' have categorically said it would NOT appear in FH2 because it's fictional. My guess is that made people quickly grow tired of people suggesting something that 'everyone knew' would never be in the mod.

For the record, I'm easy on the subject. I enjoyed the map in FH1 (when the Germans actually moved into the town with their tanks rather than spawncamped) but would be equally happy with a map that was like it but was just as fun, without it being a remake.

One question - as it's a remake, will it be Ramelle Neuneuville? ;)

Meadow, you hit them everyday! Neuneuville, haha. Indeed, without tank camping and just fighting for bridge was the nice part of Ramelle Neuville, because the camping made everyone ragequit they never got to see the good parts.

Well, since the 'I'ma hate on popular movies' train seems to have come to halt, I guess it's safe to post here.

I'm seriously looking forward to using the Crusader AA. Not for its intended use, naturally, but planting it by the windmill and using those twin 20mm harbingers of death on the Nebelwerfer across the river. ;D

What's so bad about Ramelle Neuville? Rename it Ste mere Eglise or something and it's not so ahistoric afterall.

The Crusader AA is still weak, it only have two barrels, the Wirbelwind have 4... this is still German biased *****RUNS for cover*****

Anyway, I would LOLed if the Flak 38 is only added just to create the SPR scenario. This makes it less l33t because somehow it gives the impression of being introduced by the cheaply popular movie titles. Some people just think that it is too sissy to take reference from popular movies.  ;D j/k

Well, geez guys, you take movies that seriously? On a more serious note: Theta's question. I hope it will have unlimited ammo. As for FH2 flyboys, ammo trucks are always very easy prey. And it really kills the AA function of this vehicle.

And as for the Mickey Mouse Bedford Truck: great news for the variety. I feel that this has been one of the strong points of FH: support vehicles. Some people feel it is too pointless to be added in action-packed game such as FH. Even the slow-paced realistic PR doesn't have any. But i like it... trucks, support vehicles, tractor, are the real workhorse of every battle, there just can't be a battle without them. I commend you guys for adding this kind of stuff into the mod, gives the game a bit more 'strategical' feeling.

Crusader AA: Pros: 120 round mags, driver can't be shot, fast moving.  Cons: 900rpm, 600 round total (1+4 reloads).
Wirblewind: Pros: 1200rpm, 3200 rounds total (1+39 reloads).  Cons: 72* round mags, driver vulnerable to strafing, large target.

*80 in real life, but 72 in the mod (40+32) to allow 1200rpm.

I was about to write that. Nice job mate

Both AA vehicle's should have limited ammo. It is enough, to make them last trough half the game, so resupplieng wont be a problem aswel. Both will operate close to the main most of the time, so getting back their and resupply issent really much asked, now is it?

Yep, just wiki'ed both vehicles for comparison. Just teasing the German-bias whiners.  :P

Add to that, the Wirbelwind have more armor protection, the Cruz body can even be penetrated by anti-tank rifles. But in the late war rocket launchers of both sides will surely do equally efficient work on both vehicles.

Actually, i like the Crusader, since it is fast and agile. A bit OOT: Actually i'm thinking it might be a better idea to upgun them and use them as the "earlier concept" of fast cruiser tanks intended for combating other tanks. The armour might be weak but it is a trade off IMO.

I read that the Cruz AA suffered from poor field of vision, while the Wirbelwind have to be open top since the cannons generated a lot of fumes and smokes, not really fov issue.
