After a very long time...i decided to replay FH2.

My intrest in video games has been declining rapidly for the past year. Whatever came out...it simply did not gave the same feeling as gaming in the past. War thunder tanks kept me busy for a while, MWO kept me busy, but they never gave that satisfaction

2 Days ago, i began playing FH2 again.
And i knew what was missing. A game like FH2... After 5 rounds i felt those good old feelings again..And heck 3 of those rounds was with the germans! I barely ever played germans in the past. but now? i was scoring fat stacks yo with that lovely K98k!

So yeah. 2.47 you are the great bitch man!
-i am fairly sure that if they took porn off the internet, there would only be one website left and it would be called bring back the porn "Perry cox, Scrubs.

Does 2.47 already offer the improved tank-system? I quit playing FH2 in February 2013. Might come back for some games then.

What's that with forum veterans not playing FH2 for over a (few) year(s)? A break from time to time, OK, but... a (few) year(s)...

There are many other revisions that will surely drive you back into the game.

New weapons and new tanks and new maps aside.

Half a year I was spending my time abroad at a place with crappy internet connection. Somehow after that I didn´t find back into the game. You wouldn´t believe how hard and frustrating this game can be after not playing it for a while.

I´ll give it a try again the next weeks.

I love FH2. Im older & have responsibilities. It is one of my guilty pleasures & 1 of very few games i have time to play.

When im working on the road, occasionally ill play Total War games that are fun, if there isn't a fast internet connection available, like Napoleon Total War (the new Rome2 sucks) & the cool mod called "Third Age Total War" (Lord of The Rings Mod) which is fantastic.

Modern Warfare games are for the young. Its too fast pace for me & takes little skill to fire self guided missiles at a target.

Fh2 is gritty & dirty. Takes patients & battlefield awareness & timing & teamwork
(im sure there is an acronym in there somewhere)

There is only 1 server (which is a HUGE problem) & you are at Odium(I like him ;)) & his admin Cronies mercy, but when the dirty admins are away, it can be very entertaining.

Yup. But more than it being old, and a bit unique in it's gameplay i.e. It's not quite a war sim, and definitely not, in the strictest sense of the word, a FPS.

The devs have really done a great job keeping the 'balance' between real and gamey.
I never want this game to become a COD with so many people who just want to spam, spam, spam or frag, frag, frag, and I think our numbers might remain a while longer yet.

I just wish the other servers will be proactive about getting their numbers.
I'd feel so much safer if we had 3 full 100-player servers instead of just 1.

I want the devs to see incentive to keep the hope alive and get to the Pacific and early war like FH1 had.

Last night I played FH2 for the first time in 6 months (lots of work and crappy internet connection).
What an awesome game this is! I was of course a bit rusty but still managed OK.
I only played for a few maps so I haven´t played the new ones yet.
Now I have 4 weeks of good internet connection so I will join the servers whenever I can.  :)
