Thoughts? Action scenes seems to be surprisingly well made! Also it was filmed on Italy.

About the FEB (brazilian expeditionary force). Over 25k brazilian soldiers fought in italy, first arriving at late 1944. They formed the FEB which was commanded by Mascarenhas de Moraes and placed under the US IV Corps of the 5th Army.

The Brazilian expeditionary force remained without interruption 239 days in combat. In comparission, from the 44 american divisions that fought in north africa, italy and the western front between 1942 and 1945, only 12 divisions were without interruption in combat longer than the FEB.

The FEB fought 9 german and 3 italian divisions, losing 454 men and having 2064 wounded, as well as 35 being captured.

Before the overall surrender of the germans in italy at 2 may 1945, the 148 division was the only german division captured in its entirety, including its command, by an allied unit(in this case the FEB) during the whole of the italian campaign. Because ever since the landing on italy the german divisions, no matter how damaged they were, managed to retreat north without surrendering (thank you Mark Clark).

In total the FEB captured 2 german generals, 493 officers and 19.679 soldiers. Most of these (14.779 soldiers ) were at Collechio

All in all the most important battles were the ones of Monte Castello, Montese and Fornovo/Collechio. But the FEB also battled in Massarosa, Camaiore, Monte Prano, Monte Acuto, San Quirico d'Orcia, Gallicano, Barga, La Serra, Castelnuovo, Soprassasso, Paravento, Zocca, Marano sul Panaro and etc.

The main cause of Brazil joining the allies was the fact that 21 German and two Italian submarines caused the sinking of 36 Brazilian merchant ships involving 1,691 drownings and 1,079 other casualties. The sinkings were the main reason that led the Brazilian government to declare war against the Axis after major pressure from the population. (specially in Rio)

Reception of Europa Barbarorum 1:

By Creative Assembly:

Back in the Rome days, Vercingetorix created tools that were absolutely key to the explosion of Total War modding; tools such as the CAS exporter and the unpacker. You were happy, we were thrilled and some fantastic mods (such as the breathtaking Europa Barbarorum) were born, and enjoyed by thousands, us included. We’re still in awe of what people achieved with Rome and Medieval II’s engines.

Fans of historical accuracy will be delighted with Europa Barbarorum, easily the most well researched of the mods on this list. Five new factions have been added to diversify the barbarian forces, and all of the vanilla factions have been rigorously reworked to bring them closer to what modern scholars know of the era. This is an essential download for history buffs, or for anyone looking to get a more detailed and challenging experience from their copy of Rome: Total War.

Off-Topic / CPU
« on: 21-07-2011, 06:07:50 »
i dont know if this is the right place to post, but anyway..

im thinking of buying a new processor, my current system is

AMD Sempron processor LE-1100  1.91 ghz, single core
2gb RAM
Nvidia Geforce 9500 GT 1 gb memory
and motherboard Gigabyte GA-M61PM-S2
Windows XP

With that system in most maps on FH2 i get like  8/18 fps, depends where im looking, which sucks really, plus with a good 300 ping... Since my motherboard is very old, it does not supports new processors and such, i searched around and found out this might be the best i can find without changing my motherboard, the  AMD Phenom II X4 925  2.8GHz, it is supported by my motherboard but for that i would had to update my @Bios, which i had no idea what that was but i did that and all good...

So what im asking here is, you guys think FH2 would run really smooth on the AMD Phenom II X4 925  2.8GHz? like steady 40 fps in every situation, would help if anyone that has that exact CPU to give some feedback.

Thanks!
