It would be cool if the beach part could be included, so you begin in the landingcrafts and then enter the beach, the allied AI trows grabbling hooks and the germans are on top of the cliffs firing on the climbing soldiers or trowing granades or waiting before their heads pop up over the cliff edge and shoot them in the face with mg42's, just like the real landing on point du hoc, that would make the map even more greater then it already is! Take for example the Longest Day!

I think there are AI problems with grappling hooks. If you want a real Longest Day experience, play 64 player Pointe du Hoc online! :)

My suggestion will be to put the 155mm gun in place, just like in the MP. Let the player do the job and let the bot do their stuff. It will surely make the map more interesting than already it is.

Surely, this is more awesome than replaying the good old CoD2 American mission in PdH, where the enemies spawn at exactly the same spot and your lads doesn't really affect the battle without your interference. Adding the objectives will make this map more superb! Even in CoD2, you got to fix the gun yourself. You don't really need the Captain if you got more ammo, do ya? Just find nearby ammo box to resupply those thermite grenades if the player needs more.

I agree completely... Like Hyacinth, please put objectives in place... perhaps, unlike Hyacinth, let the guns be enter-able although ofcourse in-operable so that the Yanks can blow them up with or without you, I say this because I can imagine quite a number of Germans spawning there by the end and it will be nice to have someone else take @ least one gun out besides you facing that onslaught

For the beaches, I don't expect the bots to use grappling hooks - that asking WAY too much

However, it will be nice to have them spawn offshore, move to the beaches and give cover, firing @ German mgs atop the hills while the player chooses his selection of weapon kits, same as is in MP and takes the top himself... ASn instant cap is required to make this happen, and bots need to know how to commit suicide eventually so that your army can be 'transported' to spawn areas atop the hill

Please see what you can do... I really want to see this happen...

Alternatively, give them that corner spawn area that's sometimes in MP and have them spawn there, while allowing the player to climb the cliffs alone, facing... whatever the enemy fires or throws @ him... but i much prefer the comapany of the former suggestion

LOVELY map with mg fire and bots firing @ decent range...

Howver:
Once you hit the farm, German bots keep spawning in upstairs rooms and suiciding instantly, making it very... eeky

please pathmap the buidlings so they can climb downstairs and into the battle...

As always
Bots using mortar will really help the bots down the cliff and defending the farm have purpose

And please let bots use ALL the mgs where possible

Do you think it will be possible to make bots NOT spawn on the cliffs until I personally cap the top flag? Perhaps you can make one of those many non-flag caps right at the top so that as soon as I make it up, you hear "Let's go get the bastards!" and see bots spawninng and charging... Well, not really, but that

WHY
Because if I were the only one driving the boats in and yet my bot mates can spawn atop without me, it kinda makes it seem a bit silly - Even moreso if I played with friends

Also, I think the Germans should get all the way to the cliffs, using the bunker mgs, throwing down nades etc such that once we get to top, we need to almost literally push them back

I'll have to check that out. Americans spawn around thee cliff CP even before it's captured ?

All the other maps are acceptable but this one is the most problematic. There's a 155mm gun missing ? I'm pretty sure there was a tank spawn as well that seems to have disappeared in 2.4 (although that may be a community version of map that I played).

I've been experimenting with some settings. Making Avoid (in aibehaviours.ai) the default behaviour for infantry definitely evens the gameplay up a bit. I'm also going to test making all the weapons on this map have "weaponTemplate.setFiringPose Lying" (some explanation at the end of the comments here) as that will make the AI use the terrain better. This map has a difficult environment to fight in. This also may mimic suppression.
