When I start FH2 and choose what account I wanna play online with and I choose my ol'Rawhide one it takes several minutes before I can enter the game and choose a server. With a different profile it's a matter of a few seconds.

What's the deal?

Off-Topic / The Great Thread of Board Games
« on: 07-01-2010, 01:01:05 »

So, no work today in Sweden for many people.

This resulted in me and my friends playing the board game "Axis & Allies" for about 8 hours

We had a blast (Empire of Japan is the shit!).

Great game indeed if you have the time for going for total victory.

Any other A&A players out there our any other good board games you consider worth trying out?

Friday is here, weekend.

For me, this looks like a really promising weekend. Friday, good food with a good friend and then a semi-local band is gonna play, have a few beers and just relax. Saturday, the company that I work for has a party. With a THEME.

- The 80's

On public demand I'll come as Danny Zuko from Grease. A movie from '79 still but John Travolta is the king and he rocked a bit into the 80's then to vanish until Pulp Fiction. Anyhow, it's gonna be great, lots of people, alcohol and girls, girls, girls.

Sunday, relaxing and then a dinner with my grandfather who's turning 74.

What are your plans for the weekend?

Later I might go out for a walk, gonna try to stay sober this weekend. Might watch a movie or read a book.

« on: 30-10-2009, 10:10:16 »

Friday is up once again. Me I got work today till around 18 GMT then I'm going home to take a beer and make some food. I'm aching for some FH2 (if not the mysterious lagg start again) or maybe I'll just watch some old western movies (Good, Bad, The Ugly and Once upon a time in the West).

Saturday, buy more beer and wait for the long expected Halloween party, might dress up, maybe not.

Sunday, probably go driving with my dad, so I can get that stupid license.

What is your plans for this weekend?

« on: 20-09-2009, 12:09:28 »
I was having a cup of coffee after a hard saturday of 2.2

Then a friend of mine showed me a clip of Nouvelle Vague's cover of one of my favorite songs, The Clash's Guns of Brixton. This got me thinking, show me your favorite covers.

Video can be found here http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cSX_3rL7THo

The original: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hiQoq-wqZxg

So, please post your favorite cover. Does not matter if it's Beethoven's 7th covered by a crazy 11-year old fart or a Finnish drunk trying to be Tina Turner. Post your favorites.

So, instead of discussing different WW2 movies in the El Alamein: Line of Fire movie thread. I thought about what Flippy said and we should have thread only about WW2 and WW1 movies.

Rules:

1. Correct title of the movie, perfect would be the original title and also the English/International title of the movie.

2. Write something! Just saying a title of movie, a grade and nothing more is not OK.

3. Write something about the story/battle without spoiling for people who haven't seen the movie.

The purpose of this thread is that people can or search for a movie and even request, for an exeample:

- Hey, guys! El Alamein: Line of Fire from 2002, any good?

Bada Bing Bada Boom: El Alamein: Line of Fire, decent Italian production. A bit short but good acting, story and special effects. I really liked it. Is currently uploaded at YouTube.

I'll start, I'm looking for the movie about Hans-Joachim Marseille, haven't found it yet but is it watchable?

Me I, got this day off from work. And I got a full schedule, containing washing my clothes, study for driver license, get a haircut, buy beer, go to the bank, buy food. When I'm done with all that, some 2.2, a beer, some good food and maybe even watch a Clint Eastwood movie I have not seen in ages, Unforgiven.

Saturday is work, after that, visit my parents maybe, have a beer, watch some sports, mainly chill out.

What about you guys, got any special plans for this weekend?
