Regarding the master server outage
« on: 04-02-2016, 22:02:49 »
Hi,
as most of you are probably aware, the account server is currently down since the weekend as the result of repeated denial of service attacks on Project Reality's server infrastructure. Because these attacks are still going on, we are now looking into providing an alternative master server. We don't have an exact time frame for this yet, but we hope it will not be long and will inform you of any progress.
Regards,
the FH2 team

We have offered a working alternative since Tuesday this week.
Today the PR login server was back up and then back down - as it has been 3 times
already this week. We have been waiting since Saturday of last week now.

For those who do not wish to wait longer, there is an option.
An option which FHT will be using along with us, so that they
can at host their tournament for the time being.

The link can be found on the 762 website.

-it means creating new accounts.
-the original accounts remain on the PR login server and
will be available as soon as their login server is back up again.

-it means having to start the ranking anew.
-it is reversible by using the old forgottenhope2.exe (which directs to the PR login server) again.
-So back that one original .exe file up.

But at least it allows to play ForgottenHope2 until the login mess over at PR is being fixed.

Yes, for now you can use the 762 exe as a stopgap solution. As far as I know you won't even have to switch back to the original, since it gets replaced automatically by the official fix once it is done, but back it up just in case.
