Tactics. That's what he did on the battlefield. The strategy was planning his campaign. I always confused those too.

To break this vicious circle one must do more than act without thought or doubt."

Ah thank you!  I have one book called "50 Battles that Changed World History" or something, and the author's thesis about Cannae is that actually it was the most important battle of the ancient world.  He says that even though Hannibal won, it was the Romans who benefited.

The author argues that because the Romans took such devastating losses but then just raised another army in months, they convinced the other Italian cities that Rome wouldn't give up on them, and thus prevented too many cities going over to Hannibal, with exceptions like Capua.  I don't know if I agree with the author or not, though, but certainly the victory didn't make too many cities join Hannibal, which was his plan.

I got 212 points on wolf today. 2-1-2. I pretty damn proud. Top of the server no doubt. Then Segur somehow got first with 70 points. Ruined my day. But still on the high from kicking so much ass.

The server sometimes displays the wrong person in the list at the end of the round, but our awards give the gold medal ribbon to the right player. Likewise, if the server showed you got a gold medal at the end of the round while you did not deserve it, you will not get the award.

Does this mean the one with the most overall points gets a medal?

Unhappy:
Got reall sick 3 days ago. Fever, 40.3 degrees. I don't have the energy to do anything but lie down (slept alot so can't sleep). Change between sweating like a pig and feeling like i'm on the north-pole.
Had to call in sick for work for two days (quite possibly more), and I were supposed to make a lot of money in august.

Obviously do not have the energy to see anyone either.

:(  Get well soon, my friend!  I know the feeling, I usually get sick at Christmas but sickness always strikes at the least convenient times.

Thanks! Yeah that sucks, same for me. I only get sick on the worst of times (right now it's actually not THAT bad, it's raining and I hate my job so this is a real 'reason' not to work).

Had been hoping it would get better after 4 days, it got worse. Went to the doctor and now I have to take penicillin for 10 days.
The pills are huge, and my tonsils are really swollen, so have to hack each pill up into 6 smaller pieces...
Still haven't eaten any food (soup once) for 5 days now.

Have you got Pharyngitis, Ted? It f-ing sucks, had it like 10 times when I was a kid and had to remove my tonsils.

I hate having a throat so sore you can barely even swallow saliva without bordering on self-torture.

I do not. I have Tonsillitis. had this several times when I was younger and plans on removing my tonsils, not had it for 9 years so thought I was in the clear, apparently not.

Basically, this is how my mouth/tonsils look like
