Well. Not REALLY happy, but funny for the rest of ya'll I guess
I've been proudly wearing the FH2 logo as desktop background (the one with the leaves). I've always been wondering 'gee, the white letters of that logo sure are mighty bright! could use some toning down!'. But still, awesome background.
Today I was looking at the clear blue sky of one of my photos and went : WTF...why is there some kind of text in the sky
Wait a minute, it's not moving with my pic! It's in my screen...argh!
Wondering what the hell I did to get letters showing up on my screen vaguely I tried reading the faint outlines. OBGOTTFN ...wtf...what the hell does that mean...oh. Shit. My background burned in.
Since it's my secondary monitor the desktop background tends to stay the same for...hours. And has been for many, many weeks now.
So far the myth that LCD's (and quality LCD's like this one..sob..) are immune to burn-in effects.
My solution - hope it will work - is to have the same image stuck for a week or so but inverted. Blacks are white, whites are black. Let's see and pray
