Off-Topic / Re: Revolting Uniting
« on: 02-10-2013, 07:10:09 »
something curious from the Belgian media last week, and i guess it's bit related here:
Our governement decided to send back an Afghan immigrants, who had been living here for quite some time who spoke dutch prety well, who had a job, who had belgian friends etc. He was perfectly integrated, yet they send him back. Meanwhile we are getting all kinds of immigrants that are often family of long-term unemployed immigrants who often don't speak our language, to "reunite families". "could be good for the economy to get more immigrants", yet they are above the retirement age, or they don't speak our language and they don't want to follow lessons to do so, yet they get unemployment.
There is something wrong over here  ???
The secretary of state of Asylum says the common procedure was followed for that Afghan and that they can't change files because the media jumps on it. But i don't get why we keep getting immigrants, when we send those that do a geat job, back to a country where they will arrive as strangers or even deserters... Sure media shouldn't control everything, but i think those that work and do their best to integrate, deserve a spott in our society.

Interesting point, in which I can sympathize with. It's behavior like this by our governments which discourage the legal immigration process and assimilation. This of course, is all assuming that the immigrant in question had the best interest of the state in mind and there isn't evidence which contradicts this assumption that has not been released (or otherwise known by the media) stating reasonable suspicion and cause for exportation.

Also, multiculturalism is a failure, even within the United States. I would include supporting evidence, but it is current 2:00 AM where I reside and I've just finished 7 hours of solid school work - brain no longer functions as it should.

Yes it is quite cheap although for a retail copy shipping can cost up to $300, at least it does for me.
But you don't really need a retail copy... couldn't you get a digital copy from a place like steam.. for probably $5, tops.

Ksl94, how are you trying to register it? If you don't try to register it as a daily driver, you can go through Hagerty Insurance or other antique vehicle insurance companies and register it as a historic vehicle. It will be a lot cheaper. Also, it's going to get quite pricey as a daily driver, fuel wise. Although, you might want to look into investing in a waste oil conversion system. By doing so, you can get waste oils from various restaurants and ships and run them through the truck for really cheap... those trucks will run on almost anything.

I have plenty of Dodge M-37 parts, which several might be interchangeable with the M-35's as they're M-Series... other than that, look around, parts are still relatively pretty common to come by...

These "first world problem" memes are fundamentally stupid. You will always find somebody who has it harder than you, that doesn't mean your problems should be easily dismissed. That's like telling a homeless person in your country that he shouldn't complain, because the Syrians have it harder. Might as well tell a Syrian that he shouldn't complain, after all think of the poor slave workers in the African mercury mines...
I agree.  I also dislike the attitude of many people of military backgrounds who think that civilians can't ever complain about anything because they haven't gone to war.

I guess it is third-world thing, where the military is still untouchable barons and nobility, yet a lot of commoners are stuck there, and that's why we mostly think it is a quick chance to be superheroes with little use of your brains (e.g. either because you fail in class or some other inferiority complex). It is like  People worship military like crazy here, some even develop fanboyish attitude towards Nazi Germany. What I like about people here is that FHers seems to have healthy dose of military passion despite their crazy knowledge about guns and history.

Well, I think you'll find that healthy respect towards the military relates directly to our awareness of history. Despite a good many of "FHers" have never actually served in their country's armed forces, they are indeed knowledgeable about the horrors and complications war creates. Yet, their fascination in war (WWII in particular) and respect for the hardships the average soldier face, leave them with this healthy balance.

Anyways, Joke on lads.

They don't see much action I think they thought "What the hell let's get this baby rolling and hop into their tanks"  ;D

Yeah, pretty much... well, might-as-well get these babies warmed up, turn 'em over for a few hours...

Well, he shot dead 3 police officers and a medic trying to help them.

Also, he had a little arsenal.

Considering he wasn't a bad shot, a tad crazy and could kill you at large distance with ammunition that made your bullet resistant vest useless i would say that yes, a few APC wasn't a bad idea.

Who really cares how many guns he has? He can only carry two or three on him at any given time, the rest are useless as long as he was acting alone. I also don't see anything there that looks very threatening, mostly out-dated single-shot shotguns that wouldn't penetrate any quality ballistic vest... especially not at long range.

I mean, I understand the need to take caution... but that's military grade equipment... we didn't even use that when the Boston bomber was on the loose.

Oh man, if only those armed military trained airmen had have guns this tragedy would not have happened.

You do realize this was a Navy Yard, right? But even despite that, firearms aren't available to the personnel working there 'on base', only the security officers were armed... because they will protect you, no worries (like another case of New York's finest: http://www.cbsnews.com/8301-201_162-57602998/times-square-shooting-nypd-officers-shoot-two-innocent-bystanders-near-times-square/).

Also: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gun_laws_in_the_District_of_Columbia. Maybe I'm mistaking, but it appears pretty clear "assault rifles", whatever those are anyways, are banned... so how could this have possibly have happened? There are laws prohibiting it.

Hey, if all else fails... come to the good 'ole USA. Preferably illegally - our "south door" is always open and gets plenty of use; that way our president will like you better, too. You will be guaranteed to get a wellfare check, food-stamps, free healthcare and if you come within' the next 48 hours he might even throw in a free cell phone and subsidized housing. Come within' the next 24 hours and he'll probably provide you with an education and grant you amnesty, too.  8) Don't sweat it, it's on our tab....

Sincerely,
US Citizens

P.S. You don't even have to speak our language; in fact it's probably best if you don't. All the liberal bleeding hearts will think it's adorable and a good way to promote peaceful cultural diversity and accept you with open arms.  :D

Am I alone in not finding girls with guns sexy?  Sure maybe the girls are hot but I don't get people drooling over guns.  I'm sure Freud would have something to say about it.

Yes, I'm sure Freud would... who also believed "that boys are in love with their mother and want to kill their dad for stealing her." Most of Freud's theories have been denounced years ago. Ergo, I wouldn't put too much value in what Freud thought about..well.... anything.

General Discussion / Re: FH2 Thursday Reloaded!
« on: 19-07-2013, 02:07:14 »
Gentlemen. Thursday again.  Last night I had half of the index finger on my left hand bitten completely off by a dog, but I will still be there tonight. So get rid of your lame ass excuses and be there.  And yes, literally half my finger gone. Bone and all. So if you can't kill me tonight then you never will.

This my fine men, is dedication! For that, I salute you...

Although, on that note, I wont be able to make it.
