OK, just got home from the cinema.

First of all, I'm a real sucker for Tarantino's movies.

To the point, good movie. But the hype for this movie is amazing. It's a good movie, sure. But it's the weakest movie Tarantino has done as a director since his amazing debut Reservoir Dogs.

O´rly? Well, thats your opinion. But I think that you need at least a very special humor for this. In my opinion this movie is just awesome.

I have not watch Inglorious Basterds and I will not.
My expectations on it are lower than the ground, currently it's probably the last movie I wan't to see.
Just look at the trailer, I see absolutely nothing that makes me feel "Wow! looks good, I wan't to see that". It just looks worthless.
I see were you are trying to reach: "how can a 17 year old kid have such a thinking like this? why doesnt he wants to be like normal teens who whana get rich? and his plan actually makes sense, but is too damn revolutionary and good at the same time than is still doubthfull if it works..." - Damaso

Tedacious go watch it.

I was skeptical as well, but it is a masterpiece! Way better than Pulp Fiction or any other Tarantino movie imo!
The scene at the beginning with the 10min dialogue alone is just pure awesome!
Never felt so disgusted, but jet intrigued of a character at the same time. :)

Two thumbs up!

I had a few laughs as well, but it's not near the caliber that Tarantino usually have

I'm saying like 6 maybe even a 7 out of 10 on a good day

That's not a bad score in my book, still, the weakest Tarantino movie in years.

Tarantino is so overrated imo. Im rarely so bored i was as seeing Kill Bill. Pulp F is good enough, nothing special. But R Dogs was a great movie, almost a masterpiece. His best movie for sure, and the only really good one at all.
I guess i will see Inglorious B, but no hurry at all

It's the mindset you need to watch the movie.
If you enter it and expect a comedy you will be in for a disappointment, but if you go and watch it without any reference to former Taratino movies it is awesome. I had so much fun figuring out what scene is a copy from another film and the entire character set is so well chosen.
Kill Bill was boring as hell compared to this.

Hey man, my mind was open as Paris Hilton's you know what  ;)

The movie had some great moments (opening segment, Putting out fire and so on). Good movie, sure, hell yeah. But, comparing this one to Reservoir Dogs, Pulp Fiction, Jackie Brown or Kill Bill and it looks like the weakest link in my books.

Godfather I and II...

Both very good movies, but the second one lacks some Brando.

"What aint no country I ever heard of! Do they speak english in what?!"

Good movie.

Either way, I recently saw a movie by Tim Burton, same man who wrote nightmare before christmas. However it wasn't as good as I was hoping. While the movie "9" offers up some inventive places, the characters are as old and as stale as moldy bread, and the story is very confusing and doesn't have much back story. But regardless it got its anti-war message across, and its warnings about technology.

4/10

I watched "Män som hatar kvinnor" earlier today.

It's base on novel of same name by Stieg Larsson. Some time ago I got the Larsson's Millennium-trilogy as a present, and no I have read Män som hatar kvinnor and half of the second part, Flickan som lekte med elden. The books are awesome. They are like weird mix of Agatha Christie, Dan Brown and something peculiar but cool stuff.
Anyway.

The film was good. Obviously not as good as the novel, but surprisingly good. Better that I thought. It lasts two and a half hours so of course they had to cut something and shorten some parts. I don't know if it's easier to follow the film if you have read the book, but I suggest reading it anyway. Acting was good Swedish quality and the characters were somewhat like I imagined they would be whilst reading the book. The hero, Mikael Blomkvist (Michael Nyqvist) was just as annoying as I thought when I was reading the book, so I guess that tells something. The heroin Lisbeth Salander, played by Noomi Rapace, was also rather awesome.

Jävla Kalle Blomkvist...

Where was I? Oh, yes. Definitely worth watching, this one goes straight to my Top-3 Swedish films -list.

Four points out of five.

Aw, I was so close to rewatching Part I and II today but drunkenness and women came in first.

I think Part II is the highlight of the trilogy. Michael being the President of the "company" and everything is bigger and better then the first part
