What is more fun to play with; K98 or G43?

I love both, but K98 is the best of german rifles. Sometimes I have some difficulties to aim with K98 since I'm always with an Endfield, but still a really good weapon. The G43 is great and I prefer him far more than the Garand wich is the weapon that I hate most of the game. Even if now I can kill someone with a Garand, G43 is a lot easier to use than the Garand because with garand you see nothing around the circle. The sight for the G43 is not so far of the Endfield, so I kinda like it. But still, on any American map, I always try to change my garand for a K98 first, after the G43 if no K98 near.

Im glad im not the only person who cant hit crap with the G-43, If I got a k-98 and get into CQB thats where the Bayonet comes in handy, nothing like sticking the unexpected

I just love bolt action, and I just hate recoil on semi-autos, I would prefer to aim on a target again while working the bolt, plus I seem to always run out of ammo with a G93

Somewhat yes, IIRC the normandy german forces where the least equipped

K98 unless I am facing garands in med-short range. It has a good ironsight that makes it easy to use.

Depended on the division.  But generally, the Gew43 was supposed to only be issued to assistant squad leaders.

K98 mauser is a serious weapon for me, almost bad ass. Hell, its my favorite bolt-action, second only to the springfield, which doesnt count... Yet.

I consider the g43 a guilty pleasure cuz it feels so easy to use, almost not requiring skill to use.

I would take the G43 over the K98.

Faster fire rate
More bullets pr clip
Just as accurate and the K98 over long distances
Semi shooting over Bolt action in close / medium combat the G43 wins any day.
VS the US witch almost always have fully auto or semi auto the K98 cant stand the distance the G43 can in both long medium and close combat.
I don’t fire faster just because I have semi auto I aim just as much with the semi as with the bolt, but if I need faster fire rate in a close combat situation then I have it in the G43, and you are most likely to die with the K98 and lose VS any of the US weaponry witch the G43/K98 are mostly up against currently, Because fire rate wins over Accurate in close combat. it’s the fewest maps witch have only long range fire fights most fights in this game are fought over medium or close, most maps view distance isn’t set for long distance.
Both weapons need 1 hit to kill in the chest/head, so same stopping power.
Also the G43 kit almost always or mostly comes with throwing grenades witch I prefer over Rifle grenades.

Besides in my opinion we have the Limited kits to illustrate rareness of a weapon or equipment it can be set individually bye a mapper or dev to how many pr side or pr battle to illustrate how rare it was or so show that not every one in the army hade one or the like in the particular battle / fight the mapper / Dev is trying to illustrate.

G43 for high-pingers like me. Can't hit anything with K98 on 300+ ping
However usually I will leave those limited weapons for people really need and take a binocular instead

Because Natty wanted to see your answers. Now we don't care shit about historical accuracy, we want to know which one of these rifles is MORE FUN to play with. Tell us also why the gun is better.

Edit: do you care if enemy gets semi-auto rifle and you get only bolt action?

Wait a minute. This is just a "Do you like mirror balance?" poll in disguise, isn't it?

In answer to your question: I like it. Why? Because this means my side has a weakness, which also means my side must have a strength of some sort as well, so the given map is balanced. Be it better tanks or more easily defendable flags or whatever. This is what makes the game interesting, granted the job of the map is that much harder.

I think you misunderstand what mirror balance is supposed to mean. Basically it means like BF1942, where both sides had exactly the same tanks with only graphical differences. In FH1 and 2 this was changed with lots of different tanks etc. That doesn't mean that the maps are less balanced though. However in FH2 some people seem to think that if the allies have semi auto rifles, the Germans automatically need them too.
